Ineos seem like an intelligent well thought out bunch. They will have long/medium and short term strategies. Short term - it has to be get rid of dead wood, cut the wage bill, start with as clean a sheet as possible. Martial / Varane / Cas / Sancho all gone this summer i think. £1.1mill per week saved. Amrabat out as well. Erikson may have another season in him. So 5 out at least - who's coming in? Amad, Greenwood, Kambwala will be 3. So 2 more needed.
Next season looks like a consolidation season to me - cant see us going gung ho in the market.

We should look into a swedish prospect namned Lucas Bergvall. Currently he’s being linked to Barcelona for about $15million. Technical central midfielder with good positioning and decisionmaking. Born 2006.

+ He’s supported United since childhood.
Apparently he’s been to us for a trial previously. He looks a proper player, why haven’t we made more of an attempt to sign him?

The speculated significant movement at senior management level is promising. One guy like Berrada may not change much on his own but two or three other guys along with him will, not to mention owners who are not passive and seem to be determined to win games rather than make revenue.

i agree. long term success starts with the leadership at the boardroom and top management level. having the right culture and ability to get recruitment and other decisions more often right than wrong is a pre-condition for winning. after executive level appointments, im very curious to see what will happen with ten hag and star players in the transfer market (rashford and fernandes in particular). would be fascinating if we were looking at a total re-set. we’ll also need money to re-build.

The new era doesn't start in the January transfer window, that's for sure. Season being written off, wait for the Ineos officially don't take over to February brigade. There should have been proper planning for January, a mess.
