Gaming Nintendo Switch

48 new courses coming to MK8 was hoping it was a new game.

is it 25 euros for all 48 tracks or 25 euros for each wave of 8 courses?

Seems like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be their GTA 5 for the Switch.
They won't make a new one on this console.

25 for everything.

I think DLC makes sense tbh. It’s going to a lot to improve on MK8. Surely by releasing another 48 tracks it basically makes it the ultimate game. There’s no need to release another MK till the next consols now I think.

mario kart is the perfect game as it is. you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. i agree they’re just better off waiting for new hardware to run nearly the same game on, with improved graphics and more interactive courses. the core element of racing and items shouldn’t be touched at all. it’s perfect.

The best game ever thread prompted me to give Breath of the Wild a 4th try. Think it finally sort of hooked me.

Anybody played Xenoblade Chronicles 2? It's 33% off and I dreamt about it last night
Yeah it’s great. The battle system starts a bit slow but once all the options unlock its great and the story keeps picking up pace. One of the best games for the switch.

It's great though the ridiculous over the top fan service boobs are very off putting to me. Fantastic battle system and overall gameplay though.

Breath of the Wild is losing my interest again. I'm at one of the sivine beasts just trying to figuren out what to do and where and I just realized. I really hate puzzles. That's why I don't like it.

Anyone played Triangle Strategy?

Tempted to grab it, but worried I won't play it for a while because of Elden Ring.

I jist bought it. Looks like it's right up my alley. Will let you know how it is in a bit.

I love it so far. It's like modern final fantasy tactics. The voice acting isnt fantastic though and it's a huge amount of dialogue in between gameplay. Almost like an interactive novel more than a game. I dont mind that though.

Sounds right up my street. I'll get it ordered. Just don't know whether it's worth waiting until I'm done with Elden Ring though.

Zelda games are synonymous with puzzles. It's like someone who doesn't like shooters playing Call of Duty.

Meh, it's not just puzzles though, it's also a big open world game, another genre I dislike.

I replayed it over the last couple of weeks and its remarkably easier than the first time around, although its been more than a year since I last played it. I actually seek out Lynels and whoop their asses even with 4 hearts. As thoroughly enjoyable as it was the first time though, even if some of the suspense is lost.

It's not a game you want to be caught playing, that's for sure.
The amount of boobs thrown at you is extremely weird to say the least. The game is fun other than that.

Sure sounds like Japan

I actually bought Astral Chain in the end, which I still haven't played

Feel free to post your impressions in here when you had the time to play it. It's a game I've also been looking at, but haven't bought yet.

I usually love games by Platinum but Astral Chain just didn't click with me. I found the controls clunky and awkward.

I hated it. Pile of shite.
Decided against it and just ordered Skyrim for the Switch. Never really played an Elder Scrolls game except for Oblivion on the Xbox 360 which I hated. My taste in games has drastically changed in the last 5 years though and this seems like a game that I would probably like now.

Finished BOTW today. After giving up on it a few years ago within about 10 minutes I stuck with it this time and sunk 90+ hours into it. Absolutely cracking game. I went back to Mario Odyssey afterwards which I loved and it now seems a bit shit in comparison.

Is Hyrule Warriors worth getting to fill the gap between now and BOTW 2?

One thing about Ganon.
The final fight was pretty anticlimactic. I'm not the greatest at combat but I beat him with ease first time. The Divine Beasts took half his power and the other half just consisted of hitting him with a few ancient arrows and parries of his laser beam. I'd a lot more trouble with Lynels who kicked my ass a few times.

This was an understatement. I played for about 90 mins last night and only did the tutorial battle against the bandits.

It's bloody gorgeous though, and the story is intriguing enough to pull me through. Reviews said after the initial story dump in the first few hours the game really improves and the battles become more frequent.

@Massive Spanner I feel like you'd love this.

Oh awesome, thanks for the tag. Definitely think I would.

still need to finish SMTV though which has been massively sidelined by Elden Ring and to a lesser extent Horizon!

I'm in the same boat. I stopped Horizon for Elden Ring and now I've grabbed this. I think this will be a palate cleanser for when Elden Ring keeps kicking my arse.

Yeah it took a lot of time between the first 2 battles. Story is very intriguing so far though and the visual and battle mechanics are great.

I don't know, it depends if you mostly want to bash fast lot of goblins and others or if you want to see Zelda and the champions. It is mostly an easy game even if playing one of the divine beasts can be frustrating. I don't think the characters are that different from the memories. So I liked seeing the rito champion belittle Link.

I played a lot the first Hyrule Warriors (also found it harder but it was the first game of this kind I played) and liked a lot some of its weapons and I didn't find as enjoyable the weapons of the second... or maybe one game was enough for me.

I watched some of the game play footage of both Hyrule games and they look a bit too chaotic to me. I might give them a go at some stage but I think I'll finish Mario Odyssey and then give Link's Awakening a try.

Just got into BOTW and may consider it to be one of the best games I've ever played. Is there a dedicated thread to it? Tried searching but with no success
