Can see what your saying but we have half a dozen players we paid silly money for, they aren’t performing (even saint pogba). End of the day whoever the manager is it’s always going to be down to the players on the pitch.
What’s the point in am the manager then? He doesn’t select who takes the penos. He doesn’t share a blame for recruiting players. He doesn’t get the blame for 20 or something win percentage since being appointed. What do we need him for then?

It’s not like there aren’t a ton of managers that made teams over perform with weak squads, why should we accept that?

"No," Solskjaer replied when asked if he had any concerns about Lingard's form. "We stick together and Jesse's not scored any goals in the last three games, no, but he's been a big part of our team and will continue being an important part.

Won't shed a tear when he gets the inevitable sack. That's what you get for persisting with utter dross.

Did you expect any different?

We are the Liverpool of 2010 on and off the pitch, problem is we’ve been like it for 6 years and show no signs of changing anytime soon.
It breaks our hearts to say it. But people must admit this manager is accepting mediocrity and infected a part of the fan base with mediocrity acceptance.

If he was not ex United he wouldn't even get a sniff of another Premier league job after Cardiff.
Obviously he would not have got the caretaker role without his united background and nobody thought it would ever turn out permanent but it did cause of that run, I’m sure the knobs at the top are questioning that decision now but we are where we are. The players we have are to blame if they can’t beat a goalless Crystal Palace at old Trafford.

If you're using Liverpool as the benchmark for us this season then you my friend are in for a season full of pain.

Pretty sure we all are anyway though..
I am using them as a benchmark. Cant use city because they are a sugar daddy club. But Liverpool! we should be at least near their level.

I wish OGS trust only winning. If we had a manager who gives a player couple of chance and don’t shine then try another player there if that don’t work then go to the youth that would take the chance and own it.

See he doesn’t help himself with these comments. Yes he’s not going to say publicly he’s not worried but he doesn’t need to include the big part of the team bit.

And that’s all we will get with a yes man in charge and people above him focusing on the non footballing side of things. We are no longer ruthless which played its part in the success of the 90’s and 00’s.

Everything about Manchester United is rotten to the core, I live just outside Wolverhampton and you can see the difference in how they are run on and off the pitch, it’s miles above United.

Don't think they're knee-jerk. Many people didn't want him to be signed and many people wanted him gone after the last season. Remember, last season he finished very poorly. The worst form of United in the PL I think it was and if you also count the CL it's not 3 wins in the last 15 matches, 6 of which where we failed to score a goal and the only clean sheet was Chelsea which we were frankly lucky to get.
Yeah the Chelsea game could've been 4-2 or 4-3 to either team. Last season was the worst form in 60 years, not just the PL.

Today was supposed to be an easy 3 points yet this sorry looking Palace team score two at OT. Feels like a continuation of Huddersfield and Cardiff so far minus the often misleading season opener.

Moyes won his first game of the season 4-0 as well which is quite spooky.

Did you expect him to call Lingard crap in a presser?
When a player under-performs for a year then someone has to. Why is he getting a free ride from the media? He is a senior player not a young and learning one

So what happened to the pre season tour form? You’d think this high press, energetic system would be firing fresh at the beginning of the season?
We've actually looked energetic, and pressing has been decent tbh. The problem is that when the counter isn't on, we look clueless.

The run was built on unsustainable football which cannot last over a whole season. We already have two muscle injuries after his pre season. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say it may just be a coincidence that Martial and Shaw are already fecked 3 games in but it does not look good.

There is literally no proof he can manage at this level past 20 games, let alone 1 season, or beyond that. How can you build a long term plan when the manager hasn't even proven he can handle half a season at this level.

I can tell you couldn't wait to stick the boot in...
If you are not sceptical of someone with no track record you are simply deluded. He managed a Tesco store and we are supposed to believe he can build a long term plan for Apple?

Literally more than half of the managers in PL would most likely do a better job here. Let alone bringing one from foreign league.

People were laughing at options like Conte and Allegri being available in the summer.

He needs to start showing some proper leadership. Sort this penalty taking mess out, get a proper outfield captain and start properly dropping under performing players as opposed to ‘resting them’. Out a player every now and then and show the fans that he’s on the same page as us.

Got to agree with this. A missed penalty, at least one other nailed on pen not given and De Gea sadly recapturing the worst of last seasons form. Performance was not that great but we still deserved the win. Hope this means that our luck decides to balance out at Anfield and we smash them.

He doesn’t have many options when selecting his team, can’t see how changing a manager is going to change that.

That's down to him though . He wanted rid of Lukaku and never fancied Sanchez as he favours Martial and Rashford.

He won't see past Lingard and has the midfield he wants plus the players on the bench he wants to have .

This is the team he wants

Why do all those managers also lose to teams like Palace then?

Would you want Lukaku and Sanchez?

Agree with you on Lingard though.

The manager isnt perfect by any stretch, but he's about 5th on the list of problems at the minute.

We could bring in Pep Guadiola tomorrow. He'd still have to make do with Martial, Rashford and Lingard, with Ashley Young coming in for a usually injured Luke Shaw. Like Mourinho, Van Gaal and Solksjaer have had to. The Chief Executive and the owners are a shambles.

Where’s the major squad transition? we’re still stuck with people who disguise themselves as footballers!

Mediocre has been the theme for the last 6 years, think most of us have had enough now!

Maybe signed players we needed while he could have. Maybe stop waiting until the end of the game before making substitutions. Maybe involve more of the squad over 3 games than picking the same 11 in the same formation and being predictable.

Maybe allocate a penalty taker and we may have scored one of the last 2 taken to actually win some points. Maybe involve players like Fred and Dalot who were signed to be starters instead of Lingard and Young.

There's alot he could do better than he has. His task isn't the easiest but he's doing a tough job poorly.
He subbed on Greenwood in the 56th or so minute.

OGS doesnt signt the players, Ed Woodward does. If you think the manager does that, what else could you be wrong about?

The allocated penalty taket missed a penalty. Crying about maybes is so unconstructive. Come on.

The starting 11 has not been the same. Units are kept in place to create cohesion. Rotating too many players create confusion

As options yes but that's my point Ole got the team he wanted . By all accounts he pulled the plug on spending crazy money on Dybala etc. So he has to take the blame when what he wanted isn't enough
