I hope Fergie is already preparing the hairdryer.
He better crank it up to the max and give Rooney a full blast.

He's gotta stop making the same dumb mistakes, and following the bad example of other players. He's disgracing himself and his family. For his sake I hope Coleen is as forgiving as last time.

rooney is a dumbass for doing it but what do we really expect from our athletes? almost every one of them engage in this behaivor at one time or another. Hopefully they will come to some sort of agreement. Just when i thought the tiger fiasco was the worst thing going now this.
Bet Nike are not happy. Surly it won't be Roger Federer next!

For starters, if you're not completely committed to your family you shouldn't be starting a bloody family.

The rest of your post is hypothetical bollocks to be honest.
If you'd read my post properly, you will have noticed that I made a great deal about how a person changes pre-parenthood vs post-parenthood.

I'll defend Rooney's actions here all day long. If he wants to visit a prostitute, what the hell has it to do with anyone else, even if it is his wife?

Colleen's got the decision to make now, it seems.

I don't condone it, it is certainly not something I have done myself but what's with all this sanctimonious monogamy shit?

There's a difference between advocating behaviour and defending behaviour.

EDIT: I don't think it is hypothetical bollocks. I am a father myself and I know I have experienced major changes in my view of the world since becoming a father.

NOTW article is a load of crap, full stop.

As far as I'm concerned this is tabloid crap until Wayne or United confirm it. By the same token, if any of the serious newspapers sniff around the story I'll bump it up from "tabloid crap" to "smoke near a fire".
Yeah, like Rooney or United are going to come out and say it's true.

Why would you defend him?

He's done what he has done. It's now up to him to face the consequences.

Though the NOTW says Rooney started seeing her in June - when Ronaldo had already left. Where was Rooney that June anyway? On holiday surely?
feck, I missed that one.

Also this from the Mirror: "A friend of Jennifer’s said last night: “She couldn’t believe it the first time he booked her. He used a different name so she didn’t know who he really was until she knocked on the hotel room door and he opened it." Which completely contradicts NOTW's claim that he first met her at a casino before he arranged sex at the hotel.

And Rio and Rooney were never in Manchester at the same time in the latter half of June, so he can't have met her in June while he was with Rio and slept with her a week later in July.

Kai Rooney - while you were in the womb, your dad was out fecking prostitutes. That's going to be a nice thing for him to learn when he is 15. The boy will have to live with that.

To be fair there are much fitter 50 quid for half an hour prossies available in Manchester.
Yeah but you run the risk of getting pinched as you pull up next to them on Fairfield Street.

I've said too much haven't I? :nervous:

Don't be naive to think that Ferguson hasn't seen all this before. I'm sure Ferguson will give Rooney a rollicking but its the impact of the headlines rather than the mistakes Rooney has made that will bother him the most. Rooney isn't the first player who has cheated on his partner under Ferguson and won't be the last.

As I pointed out with Evra and Ferdinand, Rooney isn't the only player in the squad to be caught up in this.

My point still stands, if he wasn't ready to stop shagging around then he shouldn't have got married and promised his wife commitment and monogamy and certainly shouldn't have been bringing a child into the mix if he was.

Do you have any actual evidence that this epiphany post childbirth actually happens to a male or are you just making up drivel?

What exactly is wrong with berating someone for committing a crime, potentially risking his and his families health and cheating on his wife?

At the end of the day, money and fame brings more options and temptations that the likes of us can only dream of. If I was in the same situation I probably wouldn't allow myself to fall into the same trap. But every man has their own level of morals and self respect.

Shame on you Wayne. Now beg for forgiveness....again.

he broke her trust? the very foundation a relationship is built on

I really don't know if you're being serious throughout this thread
Yeah but it was only sex and a relationship is based on more than just sex.

Sex with a prostitute is a mere fleeting meeting of groins. Perhaps I just don't attach the significance to it that everyone else does.

I know. But Fergie has also used the hairdryer more than once. ;)

But don't be naive. The UK has a real WAG culture and you simply cannot ignore stories like that because they also affect the clubs in one way or another.

I left you with enough memories to resurrect me wi
nope, no hairdryer, just extreme dissappointment, as Sir Alex looks Rooney in the eye who would have tears flowing from his personal disgrace, and slowly utter the words "1 k a night?" and just walk off leaving Rooney to truly think about his lack of bargaining skills

I was talking about Coleen. She's already a fully formed celebrity in her own right through her association with Rooney. If this turns out to be true, she'll get a whole load of sympathy in the same way Cheryl Cole (Tweedy again now?) did and will probably recieve a huge career boost. As well as a big divorce settlement if that happens, and offers to right a book about it all etc unless there is confidentiality clauses in a divorce agreement. though i appear to be predicting a divorce based on a tabloid story which probably means i should stop posting and go to sleep.

Im sure all Colleen wants is a loving husband whom she can rely upon to be trustworthy, live up to his promises and set a good example to her children ...

Sleeping with hookers, on numerous occasions, while your wife if pregnant, is the lowest of the low.

I agree. As a man, I cant think of a more wanker-ish thing to do. Lets not get into 'moral absolutes' vis a vis John Terry. Just trying to imagine if I found out that a friend of mine had done this, and within seconds, i can feel the anger and rage coming on ...

I'm angry. There have been great men like Sir Matt, Sir Bobby and SAF who have made this club great and respected around the world.

Then we have Wayne who brings shame on the club. If I were Rooney, I wouldn't have the nerve to look a great man like Sir Bobby in the eye.
IIm abit shocked by this but worse, really sad too. i wanted Rooney to be different, but I guess I was wrong, just like so many of us.

Rooney is unfortunately a wanker, and one of the worst. He plays for the team I support and he's a great footballer .... but thats all he is. The rest is a fraud.

The most confusing thing to me is that they seem to think the hookers wont blab to the papers, they aren't the most trustworthy people when it comes to doing stuff for money. Its the same with Tiger woods, he rode his way around America, how naive can you be.

He's always really ribbing you. So? Nobody opposes
I think he was paying the extra for the discretion.

I would ask for a refund!
Yes that was his mistake being naive enough to think by lobbing her a grand or ten he could buy discretion. He should have been going for the high class hookers that judges and politicians use where they build their reputation on discretion. Just badly advised really. They should start teaching them about using the correct prossies in the academies.

Yeah I suspect this to be the case. I am severely disappointed in Rooney and now I will just view him as "yet another footballer.." It's my own fault really as I should never have put him on a pedestal in the first place.

You say that now. But im sure you wouldn't feel like that if you were cheated on. Im sure you will find a whole range of emotions very quickly. When you allow yourself to have true feelings for someone, you open yourself up to get hurt. That's just how it goes.

I don't think any tart would keep a client as famous as Wayne Rooney secret.

She will have made a few hundred k and will make loads more now she it known as Rooneys tart.
