Having Pogba is like a double edged sword. He comes with a lot of baggage, wether having inconsistent streaks, wether having his agent creating drama or some other reason. Pogba is a world class player on his day, almost unplayable. Like one poster noted earlier, the difference in agressive mentality with a player like Bruno is a world apart. The mentality part is vitally important for a team to have that kind of player who’s able to demand respect and a high standard. Id argue that Pogba failed to become that player, which is not his fault only. At times we expected miracles from him when the squad itself was not flourishing. Pogba became an easy target and a player like Bruno made it more easy for Pogba to flourish.
would I like Pogba to stay? Absolutely, his qualities are world class, there is no denying that.
would I be upset if he leaves? Honestly no, after 5 seasons it hasn’t really worked out as many thought it would. Many fans are also fed up with the transfer talk every year. If he goes, I wish him good luck. He had the skills to succeed, but to me personally he didn’t have it in him to become the visible leader on the pitch in terms of aggressiveness and Bruno like leadership qualities.
