Would be very surprised if he takes a step down for same wages.
He is getting forced out. usually of course not, but since he isnt in their plans, taking a step down with same wages would be ok. He wants higher wages from us, since we are another step down to Spurs currently (no CL, London vs Manchester, Poch) and he knows we pay more

We won't. I gave my opinion previously that Dybala's supposed wage demands were a smokescreen to disguise the fact that he just didn't want to sign for United.
It's probably this tbh. We are a bigger project, richer and bigger club and further away from where we need to be than you so it's a bigger demand from Dybala's camp to sign for United. Don't half expect the same amount for Spurs.

Donald Trump is the president of the United States of America.
Dybala agreeing to move to Spurs and Spurs agreeing to pay the wages he demands would be a greater shock imo. Spurs aren't going to break their wage structure for a guy like Dybala.
Juventus have basically given him the boot. If he goes anywhere it's pretty clear it wouldn't exactly be willingly or his preferred career choice. Which makes it extremely unlikely he'd sign for Spurs on less money than he wanted at United. If he did it pretty much guarantees he has no interest staying there long.

I also don't think the for all Pochettino's whining, he wants a reluctant player in his squad any more than Ole does. Hes built the team on the exact oppposute of that. Plus if your aim is to win things Spurs would be low on the list atm.

When you cut out the Muppet rumours it makes no sense. The United link only made more sense because we are daft enough to actually sign someone in those circumstances and also want to get rid of Lukaku.
Spot on. If he moves it'll be to PSG/Bayern or United for the money. Spurs might be the more attractive team right now and I'd believe it can happen if they had the sort of wage structure to be able to afford a signing like this but they don't.

Lukaku to Juventus, Dybala to Spurs, Eriksen to United. I'd be very happy with that triangle, to be honest. Doubt Levy will cave to Dybalas wage demands though.

He would still want a pay rise though I would imagine.

Even if he is forced out, it's like signing extension on same wages which doesn't make sense from his point of view.

Dybala to Spurs, Eriksen to anywhere but us, Bruno Fernandes to stay at Sporting, Coutinho to Arsenal.... Lukaku to Inter for a Mars bar. Finally....Mandzukic to United - deadline day signing on a 6+1 year deal, it’s written in the stars isn’t it?:lol::lol:

Agreeing fee with Juventus is the easiest part. Agreeing wages and agent fee is the hardest one.

If I was to try and predict what will happen I'll go with this: Fernandes and Coutinho in, Eriksen out and possibly to Utd. Dybala is a pipe dream I think.

Spurs beating us to these players really puts the state of us in the cold light of day.

We're a nothing club these days.

what about Lo Celso though, surely he would cost as much as Bruno and would be the higher priority i thought

Thats getting a bit ahead of yourself isn't it?
Theres only Di Marzio reporting it at the moment, all those who reported the swap deal with United haven't said a thing yet. Di Marzio may be reliable, but he's not doing too well at the moment is he? Lets see what the next few hours bring before going full meltdown

Sounds like Betis have been constantly changing the structure of the deal and other options have become available. Could still happen but less likely at the moment.

Personally we have a nothing fanbase these days.

Their condemnation of their own club is pathetic.

Yeah not just that. Information can be leaked by clubs to further their interests. Spurs could have leaked it to put pressure on Coutinho? Juve could have leaked it to put pressure on us to go back in for Dybala? Etc etc.

Thats what i said before. Reports came out today that Dybala was having a change of heart and wanted to join us, and they still want Lukaku. There was rumours i believe that Spurs were interested in Dybala earlier in the window. We walked away due to his wage/agent demans. He might have relaxed them now and Juve are pushing out reports saying that Spurs have bidded and they're willing to accept. How many times have we had a bid accepted for Fernandes this window??

Spurs?!

Thats quite the turn, if true. Did not see that coming. 65m is a great price.

Lukaku to Juv
Dybala to Spurs
Eriksen to United

If that plays out, all clubs involved will have to be happy with the outcome....

Another thing is I think Juventus must be very desperate for money as they're clearly trying to push this, and trying to force an unproblematic player out in the first place is a bizarre move.

Can only think they need to do something to balance the spending books. I read somewhere they wanted us and them to basically exchange £80m each as part of the swap deal, then they could play with the figures in terms of what spend and profit comes under what year. Then as soon as we apparently pull out they are talking to City about another swap deal...

Their behaviour is quite odd unless there's issue with making the figures add up.

Also, strangely, Sky Sports had it on their Transfer Centre live stream thing before, saying reports from Sky Italy that Spurs have agreed a fee with Juve for Dybala, yet it's been deleted now?

Dybala from Juve to Spurs, Eriksen from Spurs to United, Lukaku from United to Spurs, Coutinho from Barca to Spurs, Kane from Spurs to Leyton Orient, Messi from Barca to United, United to Real Madrid via fax machine error.

But you’d agree it’s an opinion that is largely based on naff all?
As I've just said, it's based on my view that the level of the claimed wages-demand was absurd.
