Dani Olmo and Mikel Oyarzabal are in doubt for Spain - both were starters in the last Euro semifinal against Italy.

It's nice of you to mention Fofana but even when healthy he is likely not even in the extended team.

I got told the injuries for this World Cup were unprecedented due to it being in the winter. But seems pretty normal, no?

It doesn't feel like there are fewer but there's no real time between the start of the world cup and the pause of the domestic season. Normally there would be a 2-4 gap which would allow some recovery time.

Uruguay aren’t sure if Nunez will qualify as a footballer in time, so he’s a major doubt.

Miles Robinson for the US.
can possibly add McKennie to that list as they aren't 100% sure he'll be ready for the Wales match.....Lucas De La Torre might be out as well for the entire tournament and he was in contention for a midfield spot

Dybala recovery is going better than expected and he’s set to make the World Cup, while it looks like Lo Celso might be out.

France hit hard, their midfield is essentially gone.
Yup, Pogba and Kante is a big miss but they still have Touchameni and Camavinga.

Lovre Kalinić is out but he's Croatia's 3rd keeper andyway and is a bit shit too so no biggie. Also Vida is a doubt but he's passed it anyway.

Only one week between the last competitive game in the European leagues and the opening match of the WC. There's bound to be a lot more injuries.

Squad depth could be a deciding factor.

Son needs surgery and Chilwell a doubt after tonight.

Timo Werner is out of the World Cup with a rupture of his syndesmosis band - Leipzig already confirmed.

Uruguay's entire backline is a doubt. We'll probably have Coates as the line leader in defence :nervous:

Chelsea will have a lot of freshness in their defence after the World Cup.

Neuer and Sané played for Bayern yesterday. Werner is out though.

Reports from Lequipe that Mane will miss the World Cup, a big shame for him and Senegal.

Shame Mane is out - reckon Senegal will struggle to make much an impact on the tournament without him.

Not officially confirmed yet, but it seems Mané suffered a tendon rupture early on in yesterday's match against Bremen.

fecking hell. What a shit show it’s going to become. Is Lukaku out for Belgium?

Slight criticism but I think Bayern overplayed Mane - he's pretty much started everyone of their games despite them having usually at least one of Sane/Coman on the bench.

Feel like it could've been avoided, he was overplayed as it is by Liverpool over the last 3 seasons and then had a deep Afcon run too. No real need for him to be starting every game in the Bundesliga.

Lukas Nmecha (basically our only real 9) misses the WC for Germany.
