If you are wondering whatever happened to some obscure average nonentity of a footballer, just put Talksport on for half an hour, and he’ll probably turn up. And Talksport will make him sound like Maradonna.

Rob Jones was once regarded as one of the most promising talented right back England had produced then was ruined with injuries.

I saw someone on here mention Anderson the other day and I must admit, I had completely forgotten about him. Does he still play?

Funny you mention him as I was googling man utd south American players as an article only mentioned the obvious and I knew who I was thinking of but for the love of me couldn't think of his name other than it started with a v

a rare sight of Andrade actually playing for Juventus
Andrade was hired to be a 3rd/4th choice center back. He was one of Europe top center backs before he got injuries after injuries and Juventus made a small gamble (I think they hired him for less than 10M or so) and was no surprise that he retired after the Juventus stint.

I forgotten about Mark Bosnich and looked him up to learn that he was a Manchester United player between 1989-1991

Gourcuff - Saw him last year for Rennes and he still looked like one of the most gifted footballers I've ever seen. Has such a unique way of manipulating a football.

One of those players that never seems to age. I think he was 30 when I saw him.

I was so excited when he went to join Kaka at Milan. I thought they were going to tear Europe apart together... Nope.

Just watched Middlesbrough beat Man City 8-1 on Youtube and he scored
That game reminds me of Afonso Alves who scored a hat trick in the same game. Scored 2 against us in the same season as well if I remember correctly.

Corluka. Couldn’t believe he’s only 32.

Adriano Leite Ribeiro

One of the very best during his (short) prime with Parma and Inter. He also score 27 goals in 48 games for Brazil.

Vedran Corluka: remember him when he played for city a while back. 32 yrs old (thought he'd be at least 40). Squad player for Croatia and he's actually taken part in 3 games in WC so far. Never rated him.
Gives me a glimmer of hope in the semis. Hope they play him!

All these penalty shootouts in the World Cup made me remember this guy:

That guy was a bit special.
2 miss 3 penalties in 1 game puts him on another level.
And best of all....I don't even remember the guys name!
