Wonder if UEFA will be taking action against Ajax after their supporters ripped out the seats at a neutral venue to chuck at their own players.

I'm really surprised about this, didn't see it at all and every Ajax fan I talked to was decent. Maybe I misinterpreted their staying on with sportsmanship when really they were staying to have a go at their team. Hopefully only a minority.

Bit bizarre that they decided to throw chairs at their own players.

Indeed. Quite bizarre, given their young side had done so well in the competition and made it to the CL finishing second to Feyenoord. Thought they would have been more supportive.

On the back of that reception, who could blame some of those youngsters for wanting to go elsewhere?

Yeah Id fully agree. In fairness I would be surprised if it got any better than this for Ajax for a while, can see the main parts of the team being bought up quite easily and Id doubt they will make it to a European final again anytime soon so can see a few looking to move on.

Not yet, they've only made it to the CL qualifiers. They finished 2nd in Eredivisie last 3 seasons - lost to Rapid Wien in 3rd qualifying round of 15/16, lost to FC Rostov in CL playoff of 16/17 and will have to come through two rounds of CL qualifiers to make it to 17-18 CL group stages. Last time Eredivisie had two teams in CL group stages was in 10-11 season by Twente (champions) and Ajax (runners up).
