Stoke away always a tough place to go.

I don't think there were any surprises today.

Overall we've been more solid than I expected and conceding two goals from great corners against a team challenging for the title (one pretty lucky) isn't a shocker.

That said, I can't see any system that will get us top four with Zirkzee, Rashford, Hojland, Anthony and Garnacho. Garnacho I'm still 50/50 on but the other four just aren't going to score goals.

This season is going to be about getting the system bedded in, making ourselves solid in our own half, and then securing a much more mature attack in the transfer windows.

By now it should be clear to all involved where we are, what we have and what we need.

Expected us to get well beaten. In the end we were beaten via two set-piece goals after a fairly resilient defensive performance. So, fine.

Lost to a team currently better than us. No drama.

So different fouling rules at corners apply to Arsenal. Meaning they can do what they want.

People very snooty about goals from corners but they still count! Also, we didn’t even win 1 corner and our only 2 chances were from free-kicks!

Better than I expected first half. Disgraceful second half.

Bringing Rashford and Zirkzee on is the fastest way to kill any and all intensity in any team on the planet.

Didn't get humiliated though and looked semi-competent, so that's fine, I guess.

No shame in losing to two set pieces. They had better chances in open play but would be expected to. Onwards we go.

Solid first half followed by a poor second

Infuriating watching the same corner cause so much trouble time and time again

Sooner Amorim realises we can’t be playing Bruno and Rashford the better.
Absolute liabilities in attack in big games.

Bruno is not a central midfielder. Garnacho is toothless starting. Onana and the coaching at corners was abysmal. Onana is overrated. Antony and Rashford footballing IQ is extremely low.

I think we're doing well at this point considering the time Amorim has had.

We looked good defensively, just work to do on set pieces and the midfield and players at the top end needed to do better with the ball.

Yoro looked assuring

Weird how Malacia looked more up for this game than people who have been training for the past year like Rashford and Zirkzee

Schoolboy defending. We attempt to move the ball forward quickly but our options up front are limited.

We have a very long way to go.

Our attackers were horrible. That was the difference. Garnacho, Rashford, Mount would not score if we played 180 minutes.

Feck, thought we could scrape a draw. Their corners are lethal but thought we could have attacked a bit more.

I’m completely ‘meh’ about the whole game. Even my Arse supporting mates don’t send me wind up messages anymore.

Shit result but expected. We managed to neutralise them in the first half but it went completely to shit in the second half. Their football is horrendous. We need to improve in a lot of departments.

The corners and our inability to work out Arsenal crowding the far post cost us.
First half solid, then the corners undid us. That said we never looked ike we could win.

I'm really not sure why Amorim thought Bruno in one of the DM/CM roles would work. It barely worked against Bodø/Glimt. Play him as one of the 10s alongside Mount or Rashford/Garnacho(neither are actually good as 10s sadly, but Bruno shouldn't play deep) nothing else. Casemiro/Mainoo-Ugarte should be the DM/CMs.

Also feck off Stoke/Corner FC, such a lame way to get goals imo.

Really disciplined and solid first half. Then they cornered us to death.

Our lack of cutting edge was worrying. But we competed well tonight and that is more than I’d have hoped for under Ten Hag so I’ll take it.
