Really good result.

Played poor but we will take those. Only conceding 1 when playing like that is actually fairly good.

Still need to become more dominant in how we play if we want to become a top team.

Massive three points. Didn’t think we deserved that one but we battled hard and when Villa started to show signs of slowing down, McTominay came up with the winner. Huge performances from Onana, Maguire, Dalot and Hojlund today.

Hope that Shaw is back soon, we can’t get the champions league if our defenders are out again.

Let’s see that Douglas Luiz celebration again…
I'm glad that came back to bite him. Maybe Onana is mouthy out there, in that case a quick glance and then celebrating with teammates is normal. Dancing in front of him for 2 seconds is cnutish. No yellow somehow

Great win

Excellent result, and so much maturity after being pegged back to 1-1.

impressive that.

slowing Villa momentum down, and then building play in the attacking sense. Reducing Villa to counter attacks and making sure that after United scored, there was no steam developed for Villa.

need more of this! So much impact that confidence and results in the bag builds.

Good game and very important for the table.

That's a huge win! We desperately need to tighten up defensively though.

One step back in terms of the performance but as for salvaging something from the season, that was as huge as it gets. Big game from Onana.

Still 5 points + GD behind Villa... so we need them to drop 6 points more than us..
Need to go on a bit of a run...

Hope, We Lose
Great result, smash and grab. Poor performance. Not sure we could have played much worse and got that result. But we got that result

What a funny game. I think, the win is deserved because Aston Villas chance conversion was so bad. Think our matchplan made sense even though we let them have too many chances. I liked that we controlled the ball in 2nd half and baited them onto us. It resulted in McTominays goal. But I think, without that goal, the game wouldn't be looked at too positively.

Now we are finding ways to win games, rather than finding ways to lose them.

Not the best performance, but a huge three points. No reason we can't win the next two in the league and push on towards 5th.

Proper smash and grab. Another game where we play well for 20 minutes than get run ragged.
Bailey going off for Villa was a head scratcher. I was delighted to see that.
we were dominated from 20 minutes to 75 minutes but moments fc always have a goal in them, especially when super sub Mctom comes on.
Big big 3 points.

We won, but we were piss poor tbh. Struggled with our passing and our collective defensive effort was atrocious, Villa could have easily scored 5 or 6, sometimes 2 passes were enough to create a big chance. That was the type of defending today that got us knocked out of Europe.
I see no progress, just a bit of luck and good individual effort by a handful of players that got us winning matches as of late.
We will never challenge for the title again if we don't improve our structure and tactics.

Lindelof was poor today. Bruno as well, but he made several important defensive contributions. Onana MotM, followed by Dalot.

Sub-par performance but we still bagged the points. Even sweeter because it was against a team whose fans have an irrational hatred of us that goes back decades.

Great result! Performance not so much. Can we stumble our way back into the top 4 or 5?

The two teams above us aren’t really world beaters and I can see them both capitulating. Hopefully we don’t too

Win the more sweeter with Villa's players being diving twats

The attacking play has definitely improved.

We're still too easy to play, though. The amount of passes that get played between midfield and defence cannot be ignored. We need a genuine holding midfielder.

Mainoo and Casemiro are good midfielders but there's not enough to screen us defensively.
