Wait, people are upset? Can barely remember a Heaton save and United first half were very good. Heavily rotated 11 and in the end comfortable.
It keeps them sharp without inducing any fatigue for a 30 min cameo. Only real risk is injury. They should have had a full rest. Our squad players should have been able to handle this without them.
This is exactly what ETH wants his winger to do. Let the other players move up, push the other team deep, pin them down. Same what Pep is getting from Bernardo Silva.Antony has a terrible habit of being on a break and slowing down the play, which is disappointing but early days.
The game was turned round, credit EtH and the lads. Much to the disappointment of the two ABU tossers on the garbage TalkSport radio coverage. Incredibly anti-Utd commentary. 'Micky Gray,' according to his wikipedia page, "had trials with Manchester United and signed schoolboy forms, but decided against signing a contract at Old Trafford and continued playing for Fatfield Juniors F.C. in the Hetton Youth League."Job done.
Clever from EtH to take the risk on Rashford, Casemiro and Eriksen from a momentum perspective. It can be as important as fitness.
great logic. Definitely Charlton are up there with Arsenal and City right?Amazing how you can spend 160m on two players yet Garnacho and Pellistri look much better. Garnacho has been brilliant every game, hopefully Pellistri can get some playing time. He looked decent in the World Cup as well.
Nah it’s about his right foot, he has the pace and balance/technical ability but he has 0 confidence on his weaker side at all so he’s left with one trick in the bag.Anthony scored but he really needs to step it up.
Sancho will be coming back and with Sancho stamping his claim to the left hand side, that right side is going to be up for grabs.
He then has to potentially also compete with an in form incoming Amad Diallo. Now, Pellestri also looking dangerous also adds to that competition.
The difference at the moment is that he doesn't seem to know how to attack his man in England. It's very dangerous for him because he, Amad and Sancho are quite similar in that their more playmakers than pure wingers or a goalscoring inside forward.
He needs to learn how to buy space for himself. It's not about his right foot, it's about his ability to get into positions where he doesn't have to use it as much.
I thought the second half bordered on unprofessional at times.
Squad game and all that, but we’ll need to sharpen up in the games to come.
We also create very little without Bruno, it must be said.
With one foot, he could easily still attack by driving through the middle. He has enough technique, balance and agility to keep the ball in those scenarios but he just doesn't take it. He could easily be providing low or high crosses into the box after his one twos, but again he doesn't.Nah it’s about his right foot, he has the pace and balance/technical ability but he has 0 confidence on his weaker side at all so he’s left with one trick in the bag.
I guess you've not been watching Garnacho in the first team for a while now or unaware how poor Sancho has been often and the amount of fair criticism Sancho and Antony have faced outside of the odd goal they've scoredgreat logic. Definitely Charlton are up there with Arsenal and City right?
Yeah it was a good win. They barely laid a glove on us, some of the youngsters did well and we managed the minutes of those who'll play against City. Only bad point was Dalot going off but hopefully that's precautionary. Delighted to see Pellestri get on the pitch and get an assist. He should get more chances now. He seems like a better option than Elanga at the moment, going forward at least.Wait, people are upset? Can barely remember a Heaton save and United first half were very good. Sancho would be doing very well to get on at LW ahead of Rashford and Garnacho especially when we don't have a viable back-up to Antony on the right.Anthony scored but he really needs to step it up.

Maybe they were influenced by the commentator? The guy on the stream I was watching made a huge deal out of every United mistake and kept talking up Charlton’s performance. I can remember one shot on target from them? The easily saved free kick. We scored three, could easily have scored double that. It was a very comfortable win.Wait, people are upset? Excellent cameo from Pellistri, he did more in 10 minutes than Elanga did all season.
Rashford with professional finishing, however MotM should probably go to Garnacho.
Heaton and Lisandro both good, McTominay and Maguire just terrible
The anti-Maguire brigade are out in force I seeJob done

Marcus is on fire right now!
I don't think any of us were kidding ourselves over McFredHonestly felt we bossed most of that game...and once the damn broke at the very end they had no fight left.
The key though was Rashford and Casemiro coming on who are just white hot. They are both playing at at world class level.
Lastly, I can't believe we were actually kidding ourselves that we were fielding a top 4 PL level squad with Mcfred starting for the last few years. It's almost embarrassing in hindsight.
