Great win. Not the best performance but some promising signs from the likes of McTominay.

Lukaku is such a mixed bag. Don't think he's consistent enough to be the main man unfortunately.
Great squad player though

How the hell did Ole get us through that game? Half the team missing, opposition playing decent, in front of a rabid crowd and with several of our players having poor nights. And yet we come out of it with another 3 goals, another 3 points and that’s how many away wins on the bounce now? 8? Oh and we found time to give another debut to a young player. Crazy stuff.

Fantastic result, couldn't get better considering all the injuries. Impressive performances from most of the players today. McTominay I think played very well. Mature, composed and always available in the midfield. Lovely to see and hope for more of the same!

Fred, who everybody wanted out of the club before the end of the first half, did really, really well in the second half! Shaw was also very good, did everything well except for missing Ward on their goal, but other than that brilliant.

Lukaku scoring twice should do a lot for his confidence, hopefully more of the same from him too. Overall play still not good enough.

I love Ole.

Huge win, with all the injuries and Ole found time to give Garner a debut. Brilliant. These last 2 months have been better than any of us couldve expected.

Nervy at times but some class moments. McTominay looked composed and an able standin for Matic. Fred ran a lot but had a few misplaced passes and seemed to pass back too often.

Hopefully a few more squad options returning each game now to reinforce.

Great points considering our injuries, and some really unexpected goalscorers. Nice to see more players chipping in. Also, Fred did a couple of things that were not terrible. Was hoping he'd play the full game to give him a slight confidence boost, but oh well. Thought he grew more into it near the end. Not sure what Sanchez was trying to do out there.

Is that Ole's best result to date? That's a fecking terrible XI . Especially against a team who have went toe to toe with Chelsea, Liverpool and even beaten City.

McTominay and Shaw were fantastic.
Lukaku got his goals but outside of them goals he showed why the forum hates him, such an average footballer. Young was bested too many times and at fault for the goal with stupid defending. Took his goal well, though.
Sanchez and Fred look lost at this level.

Everyone else was good.

A midfield three of Fred, McTomimany and Pogba. A front three of Sanchez, Lukaku and Young. Dalot right back. Just think about that for a minute and then reflect on the result.

I have to say I’m really impressed with the win. Good performance, all things considering. The mental aspect is sooo important, we’re missing like 10 players and still look like we have another gear.

The state of that starting 11 and we won 3-1. Ole is making this manager stuff look like a walk in the park.

Bloody relieved to get through a tricky fixture.

So important to stay in touch.

Sanchez needs to go. Whatever he had is gone.

That's an absolutely superb win at an awkward little ground.
A win and scoring 3, but without playing that well!?
Imagine when we play well with the whole team!

Jose must be scowling somewhere!

Great!

Eight consecutive away wins for first time in our history! Fantastic!
Mental stat. The turnaround he's overseen has been outstanding. If only Paul Ince was free, we'd have beaten PSG as well.

Great win considering the depleted squad. Nice brace from Lukaku but still feel he is not what we need in our team. Young’s was great today, McTominay had a good game and really nice to see Garner get some minute even with such little touches.

Great performance. Nothing wrong with it, maybe Sanchez something. But top win. Ole is well and truly at the wheel.

Massive win, very important result with Arsenal and Chelsea winning and with the flip side being that Spurs lost that means just 5 points behind Spurs, so there could end up being 2 Top 4 spots up for grabs and it looks like it'll be a scrap to get them. Any two of the four could take it. Surviving today with all our injuries is fantastic.
Let’s just get 5th, play the youngsters in Europa League, and win the league next year :smirk:

Very nice watch against an in-form team. Lukaku really stepped up, Pogba casually controlled the flow and Young is in really good shape, played well.

under the last guy we would've lined up with 5 at the back , mcT centre back , Darmian wing back, Fellaini in midfield 3 and lost 3-0 or something.

Happy with that, reminded of a typical Fergie away midweek game when carrying injuries. Don't get the hatred for United players from United fans in the match day thread, what's all that shit about?

Great result. Very tough place to go even with a full squad, nevermind the injuries. Had a scare with that goal but responded well to it to be fair and they didn't have another clear cut chance.

At least one of Spurs and Arsenal guaranteed to drop points at the weekend so hopefully we can capitalise!

I was confident about Ole taking the three points despite the injuries but extremely disappointed that I reversed my 3:1 prediction … I've never done that before (fantastic time to do it when you get the score right :houllier:).
Wait, that was mistake score prediction? I thought you we thinking CPwill win it. Oh dear, sorry about that.

de Gea - poor distribution today. A couple of saves and couldn't do much for a goal conceded

Smalling and Lindelof - more nervous than usually, lost quite a few headers in the area, should do better in this regard

Shaw - fantastic going forward in the first half, quite good in defence

Young - could cost us a lot as his mistake led to a goal conceded, but made up for it in the end with an excellent goal

McTominay - very strong outing. Reliable in passing, good in fighting for the ball, didn't make many mistakes. Respectable deputy for Matic

Fred - atrocious in the first half, but much better in the second. Made one key pass for Sanchez' header (which went wide)

Pogba - best ball winner in the team today, controlled the tempo. Had a chance to score with a header, made an assist for Young

Dalot - played as a RW, didn't impress much, although made one key cross to Pogba. Didn't make noticeable mistakes either

Sanchez - didn't contribute much, earned one dangerous FK and had a half-chance with a diving header. Invisible more or less, doesn't deserve to start the next match

Lukaku - scored two great goals (showing good first touch both times), gave a pass to Pogba who then provided an assist to Young, had two more chances to score from crosses. MotM

Rashford - didn't do much but was visibly better than Sanchez when subbed him.

Bailly - was reliable as a right back

Garner - didn't contribute as only came on on 90th minute, but debut is always a good thing.

Ole's at the wheel! Tell me how does it feel..... Yeahhh! Very happy with the win. 3 points. And I'm happy for Lukaku to score 2 goals. Hopefully next match he will score goals again. So so happy! Haha

What i liked the most was that we went and got the 3rd goal after it went 2-1, we showed a bit of balls and went and killed the game.
Agree. In the not too distant past, we'd have been hanging on for dear life there, only to concede a late equaliser. So refreshing.
