At last a win in an European away game. Job done. Bring on Spurs. Just hope we'll win that one too somehow.

Great to see Mickhi scoring and Bailly coming back.

Awful game, great result.

Eric Bailly was immense, so good to have him back.

Pluses and minuses for everyone else, besides maybe Herrera and Mhki.

I hope Pogba's assist reminds him of the value of the quick ball. His tendency to take four touches where two will do is maddening!

Zlatan scores again but I think we would be better without him slowing down our attacks. Mhki superb as per usual.
Last season, everybody was clamouring for a 20 league goal per season scorer. We finally have one and you don't want him?
"This guy Ibra. He is scoring too many goals. We need to bench him!"

Bailly, it was really nice to see him back, of course, but he made some errors that would cost goals against a team like Tottenham. Sometimes he just seems to lose his concentration.

We would score more goals without him IMO that's the point.

No he helps create chances.
No he helps break down more attacks that he does create chances. Put someone else in his position and we will have a much more fluid attack and create many more chances.

Professional job is right. Pitch was tripe and we got the W. I just hope no injuries came out of this. No idea how Pogba's legs will not be tired for Spurs, wish he came off after 60.

Job well done, it was always going to be ugly but I liked the grit we saw from the likes of Bailly, Pogba, Herrera and Ibra, they were getting stuck in properly, and we scored two quality goals without picking up any injuries (unless Mata is hurt), can't ask for more out of this type of game.

Any post-match Mourinho comments yet?

Was Mata injured? Seemed that way from the footage.

Having a confident Mickey and match-fit Bailly is such a massive boost going into the Spurs game.

Like we did last season?
This is the first time since RVP, when we have had a 20 league goal/season striker, who is actually scoring goals and fans are complaining? :houllier:

We didn't have Mhkitarian or Pogba last season and I think most decent strikers will get lots of opportunities in this team now which is very different from last season but other than that I take your point.

That second goal is exactly what we should have done vs Everton had we kept our composure. In those stages of the game, theres just so much space to attack.

We are going to win all the cups! Mourinho switching it up, playing in the EL isnt a hinderance on performance levels when all the PL games are rest games :)

Loved Mkhi's post-match comments about wanting to score his first OT goal. This guy just loves being at United. Fast becoming my favourite player. He's going to be immense.

I felt like he was slowing down our attacks too at times. When he's on the shoulder of the defender it's okay but I guess he does like to get a little more involved.
