Didn't watch the game, how were we? Improved performance?
I was keeping half an eye on it but I felt we had phases of pushing and phases of drifting.

We need to really improve our attacks in the final third but I do think we fed the front three enough to create. We were robbed of the first goal, and the players definitely pushed till the end which is a positive sign.

But theres a lot of work to go in terms of confidence and gelling. I liked Dalot Maguire Bruno obviously and garnacho today

Not a great performance but Onana kept us in the game until that last-minute winner, We didn't play well but happy with the points hopefully to build on, who knows?

Yes! Effort was better. But lots of work to do as our passing was awful.

Maguire, Onana, McT, Garnacho with good performances. I was glad to see AWB back. Antony didn't have a good game at all. I didn't realize he was on the field until 30 minutes in. The off-field issues must be affecting him more than we realize.
No. He’s just awful.

Apology if I have missed it. But does anyone know what the problem was with Maguire?
The problem was that we were playing on the front foot as a team, with a high line.

Now we play relatively shit football, not on the front foot by any means, and defensive line is lower. So it suits Maguire very well.

Get in there.

Needed that. Pellestri keeping the move alive leading to the goal was beautiful.

McTominays goal being disallowed is clearly a made up stupid rule.

In my 40+ years following United, this is up there with some of the worst drivel I've ever seen. Not 1 player on the pitch I'd ever get excited about.

Three points and a clean sheet. Exactly what we needed. Maguire was MOTM for me. I’d start with Mount in place of Antony, who was criminal. Reguillon is ahead of Dalot at LB and I’d stick with Garnacho on the left. Hoijlund in desperate need of service and a goal. The frustration is oozing out of him.

Announcers and studio twats so disappointed we won, fecking holes.

Bullshit VAR again. Whatever happened to “clear and obvious”? 3 1/2 minutes reviewing every goddamn angle means it was nothing of the sort. VAR continues to kill the game. Just like last week we should have 100 penalties given to us for the foul they called on us, and a 100 ruled out for grappling. It’s ridiculous.

Bruno our best and worst player.
Garnacho offered more in that game than Rashford all season.
Evans our best center back.
Glad to have AWB back, but why play Dalot over Reguilón? Bad decision.
Eriksen left on about 15 minutes too long.
Our shape and attack improved with Mount and Pellistri.
Højlund ran his balls off, just need to feed the beast. At least Garnacho played him in a couple times. Did Antony complete a pass to a forward player?
Onana with some good saves.
Scrappy win but one we deserved thoroughly, we dominated the game , created more chances, announcers can get rekt.

Onana, Harry, Evans, AWB, Bruno, Garnacho and Pelistri was all ok.
McT was not horrible.
Höjlund did what he could.
Dalot should not play leftback.
Dalot should be left back …. at the team hotel.
McTominay: “We saw the banner before the game and the fans pay good money to come and see us, the support is relentless every single week and we just want to repay them as best we can.”

Anyone know what the banner was?
“Play like you mean it!!” on a bedsheet.

It was an awful watch made worse by Jermaine Jenas on commentary.

Back 4 were decent, midfield abysmal, Garnacho the only half decent forward.

If ETH ever picks Eriksen in a midfield 2 again then he deserves the sack.

At times we played good. Played through the lines in the buildup. But it was mostly dross.

Antony is the worst signing the club has ever made. Needsto be sold in the summer.

Bruno post match comments are nonsense. Saying we had the better chances and deserved to win.

I’m all for confidence building but they need to be aware that what they did today was not good enough.
Maybe he used the FA cup match against them last season as the comparison? In that game, we were were almost played out of the pitch until the dinosaur decided to kill the referee.

Rashford did not have the look of a player who failed a late fitness test. All those calling for Ten Hag to discipline in private, there’s your exhibit A. Dropped him for his party after being humiliated by City. Rashford will have to up his game to regain his spot. I didn’t miss him at all out there today.

Our away fans really are great, which makes me confused as to why our home support always feels underwhelming.
