Slowly getting numb. Not that excited for the summer business anymore.
Feels like we could get pretty much any players in and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

How can all players turn to sunday league level talents in such a short time?
The very same players played some more than decent football 3 months ago?

I think if Ole doesn't get the funds he needs this summer, he will quit.....don't think he would let it get to the point where he is fired.
First let me clarify Im talking about Ole the manager, not Ole the player.

Now after saying that I don’t think anything can happen that would make Ole resign, he won the lottery by being appointed. He is a no name low prestige manager this is his first, and probably the only chance he’ll get to manage a top team.

If he loses this job what options does he have? He’ll probably return to Norway, so what could possibly happen that would make him resign? Surely don’t be given funds won’t cut it.

1-1 vs the worst PL squad by far.

Top4 race is over. It's almost as if it was too difficult to reach the 4th spot and the players just said "feck this".

BUT their mission was none other than getting the last 6 points and hope for a miracle. They have failed us once again.

Don't understand why everyone is heaping this on Ole after barely 5 months ?

He came in to help out and proved that the previous incumbent was not getting everything possible from these players.

The guy actually put us in a position to be disappointed about not getting top four.

A position that was already ruled out by one of the top managers (well into his third season) that the league has ever seen … as early as mid-December.

It might back up what Jose was saying before he was booted out but it certainly proves that the Special One's inflated ego prevented him from handling any such situation with the diplomacy it deserves.

We're in a fecking god-awful situation (one that I am adamant next weeks' results will prove we would have avoided if we could have just got 6 points from our last two fixtures of the season but … whatevs) however, that said, I'm much happier that Ole is the one leading us into the future than The Narcissistic One.
Agreed

If it later transpired that Woodward was a secret scouse agent sent in to destroy us, I'd honestly not be at all surprised. In fact, I'd be more surprised if he wasn't a scouse agent such is the level of terrible he has overseen in the last 6 years.

The value of the club that the Glazers hold most dear is going to start plummeting from this point onwards, and more so with every passing failed season on the pitch.

Arsenal drew which makes it worse, how many opportunities have we had to consolidate top 4. Spurs play Everton which they could very well lose and if we had won today and against Cardiff we could of taken top 4.

No, not Lisbon..Lisburn!
No doubt the tabloids will post photos tomorrow of the usual bling cavalcade of Bentleys, Jags and Range Rovers nonchalantly cruising into the training ground, in stark contrast to the clapped out Trabant football on display today. :(

With the performances levels shown after the first 15 minutes, this result isn't even a surprise. We never had any sustained periods dominance beyond that. A few nice moments (hit the bar twice afterall) but we didnt deserve anymore given our effort today.

From here to the start of next season I am officially out. No more games, no following the transfer bollocks or press conferences. Everything about this club is a sham, a joke, a lie. I don’t care who we buy. It won’t make a difference.

I don’t believe in the players, the manager, the executive, or the owners. I truly just need some time off from everything connected to this club. I can easily see next season being a case of just checking results after the match to have a loose idea of what is going on.
Same here, except I'll watch the games next season because I'm stupid like that.
I suppose this means we won't be one of the matches on Sky next Sunday?
They might want to squeeze in some air time for the title deciders, as exciting as our death throes are likely to be.

Even if we had made it, we don't deserve it. Can't bare with the performances we've been putting out. Just disgusting.

We are so screwed, Solakjear said in his post match presser that he had no issues with the effort and willingness today from the players, it was more down to the quality? that's really worrying because you shouldn't be saying the quality wasnt there against this Huddersfield side and he was bigging up how well we played for the first 30 minutes against the worst premier league ever, sounded like something out of Moyes press conference.

Pogba could lay out on the centre circle for the entire 90 minutes and his fan boys would still regale us with tales of his genius.

Rashford not good enough to lead the line for an entire season, worried for next season if the funds aren't made available for a real overhaul.

It's a fecking mess, we've seen it, ole knows it Phelan knows it, I bet he's thinking wtf is left here after SAF..
Didn't deserve a top 4 if you cannot beat a relegated team, there's a problem? No shape no ideas, no commitment to there cause.

I thought we were going in right direction, how wrong was that, if there isn't a few out and basically fit players who want to run come in. I would sell at least 4 top players, including Rashford, he's turned into another big head. Dreading the next season.

I have been quite upbeat until now but that was a disgrace.... 6 points and you stand a chance of 3rd or 4th and the lack of drive and effort is unforgivable, quite honestly I would not blame Ole if he just turned his back and walked away.

New season, clean slate but most of the squad have got some work to do to repair my belief in them

I also find it annoying that OGS calls his players by nicknames frequently. I get it if they’re winning trophies or doing well overall... but fecking ‘Youngy’, ‘Rashy’ and ‘Jonah’ are going to cost him his dream job if he’s a soft touch with him.

Jonah is a pretty accurate nickname for Jones considering it’s a name linked with being unlucky and cursed.

He has to cull a lot of these players and buy significantly or he’s not going to make it here.
He has to have a DoF structure supporting him or he’s not going to make it here.
If he can’t do either of these two, then Ed and Glazers need to go.

This "team" is an absolute joke, no fight, no passion, no love. There are literally under 5 players I'd actually keep in that squad. How it has come that Manchester United is represented by such dross is beyond me. Thank feck we won't be in the champions league next season cause we don't deserve it. The axe needs wielding on this shower of shit and rebuilding properly. Whether it takes 5 or even 10 years to get us back to the top, we can't keep insisting with players that don't care about the badge they're wearing. It's a joke that's gone on too long now. It is plain and simple on their heads, not any of the previous managers..

We still need 5th to avoid having to qualify for Europa. That would be a disaster for our pre-season. And boy do we need pre-season!!!

Spot on pal, he worries me too with calling the players by their nicknames , 'rashy' , 'pogs' , 'joaners' , these losers need a leader not a mate!

United are done.

There’s no ambition at the club any more. We’ll get overtaken next season by the more ambitious teams below us, Wolves, Watford and Everton.

I used to believe we’d become the best again, but it’s not going to happen. We can’t even get the basics right

The switch in player attitude and endeavour since the paris game has been ridiculous.

Something has happened to destroy the morale of this team since that high.

Given what has gone on the leading candidates would be...

Some cack handed announcements by the club about contracts or who is leaving. (Woody has form here)

Some sort of rucus or falling out between the players.

Being forced to play some people to put them in the "shop window" to increase their value.

Given we are still in the dark about a number of contracts I'm beginning to think Woodward has once again grasped defeat from the jaws of victory.

I don't think that way round is a problem, as didn't Fergie call plays by nicknames at times? Giggsy, Scholesy etc?

It's if the players are treating him with a nickname back it can be a problem.

We saw this at my local boys Wycombe. Ainsworth went from player to manager, and said he had to make a real big thing of stopping the nicknames to him, he was thereon "Gaffer"

Oh and Chong will never be a top class player for us. Quit asking him to start now. He could have showed the energy needed by a young player today and a lot of the time he was standing still. Not impressed one bit

I think it's just the quality of the players mostly, although Keane said something similar to what you said. If you have Rashford up top as a striker with Sanchez supporting him then you're in trouble.

The English core of this defence is rank.
Yeh I just think it can't all be about fitness like Ole has been saying for the last few weeks, we've turned to crap way to quickly for it just to be fitness.

I get what your saying, but no matter what we should be beating a terrible terrible Huddersfield team like that one, because our players are better than that at least in my opinion.

Scousers are having the season of their lives. They think they're the best in the world and they get to laugh at us every week.

Is Ole sending us down the same route he travelled with Cardiff? Since he got the job full time, his results have given him a win % of around 20!! Before that he was up to 75(ish). Are the rumours true that his attitude changed when " Manager " was officially on his door do we think? As much as I respected him as a player and the fact he knows what the dna of utd is; I am starting to seriously doubt his managerial skillset.

I am beginning to think that although he was man utd through and through, the actual management of a Premier League team is lost on him. It is starting to look like he won't be able to handle the many, many issues surrounding old trafford and it's staff and players. I have previously said "be patient" and let's see what he can muster post season but each of the last 3 or 4 games we have been truly appalling and I am beginning to doubt his abilities. I want to be proven wrong and I will hold back on turning on him unless there are no changes by the start of next season.

The moon gave me flowers for funerals to come.
We’ve no business being in the CL.
We are also at the worst state we’ve been since SAF retired.
People need to go, a lot of people.
I think the worst is yet to come to be honest with regards to results on the pitch especially if we get rid of some of the players rumored to be going/want to leave as it will take some time for new players to adapt to the league, oh and we still have phil jones and ashley young starting in defense for us..

If this is in the main the same squad of players that arrive for 1st day of training in July, then we are in trouble.

I call the players by nicknames too, but I can't list any of them here because they include words that might get me banned. The only players I refer to by their actual names are McTominay and Lindelof because they're the only players I like and respect.
