Why the hell is Garnacho not a starter? Having to watch Sancho, walk around doing stepovers. Garnacho starts, could have been different, caused all sorts of problems.

Gutted but doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, they'll never be taken seriously as an actual football club, just a state run sportswashing machine that sold their soul.

ordinarily wouldn’t care we are too far away from city but we could have stopped the treble here so expected a bit more. You just know if it was a Fergie team they would dying on the pitch no matter the gulf in talent. These lot just don’t care enough.

They’re just a better side.
That’s the sort of mentality that led to defeat. If we turned up and played to potential we would have won because they weren’t great. Too much defeatism.

Players aren't good enough to play at this level against top sides. Half the squad needs major upgrades.

They're bringing on Foden and we're bringing on some Burnley reject.

That was there to be won. God I wish we had Martinez for this one. Very clear that we need reinforcements.

We’d have had a better chance if we’d started with Garnacho and Weghorst, Eriksen and Sancho in particular were wank.

This season has identified our weaknesses. Let's hope ETH can find the solution.

Sancho, Eriksen and De Gea let us down.
Bruno out of position, should have played central and we should have started Pellestri for RW rather than screw up the chemistry and shape

Dig up stupid!
The squad did for us in the end.

ETH has got us fit, organised and at least commited to getting results (which we weren't last year) - I think he's really got the maximum out of the players he has

Simply not enough quality, particularly outside the first 11.

DDG has to save the winning goal

Both their goals were incredibly lucky hits, play this game 9 more times and they miss. They did not out play us at all, barely had any dangerous attacks, so we have come far since the start of the season. Upgrade a few and we can content next year

Fred played well, so did Awn and Garnacho when he came on. To beat that lot though we needed all to be on their A game

Disappointing performance. Would have preferred we put up more of a fight like when Brighton played Manchester city recently. Hopefully next season, we can put up a more competitive performance.

Night and day the difference in the two teams imo. City never really looked in much trouble. I can moan about De Gea costing us with his awful attempt to save that goal, but they were able to field Ortega whose barely touched the ball this season and still be absolutely fine. Lindelof costing us the first goal. Thats two players who shouldnt be anywhere near out first team if we want to genuinely challenge for trophies.

We did as much as we could. They have better players in almost every position, a better manager, and have been playing longer together.

Still, we were very competitive and could have scored another goal or two. Which is what I wanted to see today.

Let's improve and give a better go next season.

Decent effort and not a terrible gameplan but we’re not close to them in quality sadly. Big summer needed now with plenty of quality coming in for Ten Hag. A new keeper would be amazing for him.

No shame at all in that, we didn't lack a tactical plan or effort we just lacked quality.

The goals were really godawful to concede though particularly the winning goal.

Lost to the better team. Didn’t get hammered. Kept Grealish and Haaland quiet but didn’t do enough up front. Got 17 points in the line up prediction for the first time ever so not a complete disaster of a day. Forza Inter!

Man United had to bring on Weghorst Vs a side that can buy 4-5 60million full backs, lie and cheat endlessly with no consequences using the full backing of an oil oligarchy while their American owners just run their hands at getting some more of that sweet CL money. Feels like it's about right here.

It was almost inevitable that their endless money and bribery would come to this, the tainted treble. Let's see how many of the FA charges stick - the white paper won't ever come out and be as forgotten as the Fuentes blood bags in Barcelona's freezers. If the Qatari's do get their hands on our club, look forward to ultra domination by Newcastle ourselves and city for many years to come

In two minds. We didn't disgrace ourselves and really only lost to a couple of individual mistakes, and had chances to get back into the game. I cant decide if that makes this better or worse. City are the better team and were better on the day, but we stayed in it for the whole game and I can't help but feel we should have equalised with the chances we had.

Played with 9 men, Sancho and Eriksen were just not right for the stage.

City always had multiple gears to go through if needed, but they didn't need it. Our timid players kept the game nice and easy. 2:1 looks better than it really was.

We did better than I thought in terms of minimising their threat, just two stupid goals fecked us and our complete lack of threat up front did no favours.

Went in to the game fearing the worst, goal after 12 secounds really thought we were about to get hammered.

it wasn’t that bad and I think they showed character and resilience. Kept Haaland quiet and just two very bad goals to concede

not even sure who to blame for the goals. Maybe lindelof on the first and ddg was rooted

2nd, who should have marked him? But also ddg again not great there

very disappointing but we were massive underdogs for a reason

Shaw, garnacho and AWB the only ones who showed up today. The rest was in between terrible to average at best.
Disagree. I think of our outfield players, besides Sancho and Eriksen, everyone else showed up.

Magical Manchester United.
Absolutely sick of De Gea, who cost us the second cup final in two years. I'd rather get battered 0-3 than lose like this, what a shit ending to an otherwise decent enough first ETH season.

I'll take this result if Inter beat City in the CL final. Just not good enough today, CIty weren't at their best but we didn't give them too much trouble. Hopefully the last we will see of Weghorst, Maguire. De Gea too would be nice.

United played well, particularly given that horrendous start. Frustrating that we lost to a soft-ish goal. It’s obvious which players don’t belong at this level and which we need to upgrade - De Gea, Sancho and Eriksen were way out of their depth.

I honestly think Inter have a puncher’s chance next week.

Good performance aside from the shit defending/goalkeeping for the goals. We really could have done with Martinez, Antony and Martial. Our bench was crap but Garnacho was brilliant when he came on.
