What an absolutely dreadful performance in everyway possibly, a lot of work still to be done with this lot, they 100% need a few more players brought in, a cdm being one of them!

Job done the hard way from 2-0 behind and winning against 10 men isn't easy as Arsenal found out this afternoon. Still needs to serious questions asked behind the scenes to how and why they found themselves 2-0 behind after 4 minutes.

Ten Hag first Premier league game was a home defeat to Brighton since then United's record in Old Trafford in the league has been Played 20 Won 17 Drew 3 Lost 0, scored 39 goals conceded 10 goals, scoring difference +29 and Points 54 out of a possible 60 fairly impressive all things considered.

This team is severely lacking in confidence. Clinging on to the last 20mins against 10 man Forest at Old Trafford isn't what you want to see.

Good to see that we've got the characters to fight back to a 3-2 victory though. Eriksen, Casemiro, Bruno, Varane..
Takes some confidence to go 2-nil down and dominate a game to be fair!

Braindead start good come back and the ref played in our favour with those soft decisions.

Good to come back from 0-2 but the only reason we even got a chance is because Forest stopped going forward, and as soon as they started again even with 10 men they dominated us.

Can’t believe Eriksen completed well over 100 minutes. The fact that ten Hag didn’t throw on Maguire to defend the final 10 minutes shows how little he thinks of him

Shocking start. The first goal was naive defending that should never happen. Forest 2nd goal was luck, hit the lampost in the face and went in.

The comeback was pretty impressive, full control, continually knocked on the door. With a little luck the equaliser will have come sooner.
well done lads, didnt let the heads dropped. Still room for improvement but better after that joke first 4 minutes.
AwB excellent, Bruno never stopped driving us on.

Terrible Start, after that we played well, still a lot of issues need addressing which I hope the manager can iron out quickly.

The matchday thread I don't know why I bother is it full of opposition fans?

United never make it easy for themselves...but it was amazing entertainment*

*Except the injury time which was tedious and somewhat cruel when it was Forrest time wasting...seem like a reward more than a punishment, giving the timewasters 10 extra minutes to lump it into the box and steal the points.

Great Win.

Even sweeter with Arsenal dropping 2 points at home.

We have glaring gaps in our game. We need to pass and keep the ball better and we need more physicality, especially in the middle.

Antony, AWB and Bruno played very well. Case played much better in the second half, and Rashford had his moments, despite he doesn’t contribute much to our build-up play.

Hope we buy another midfield…we are very thin there.

Lads showed heart today and that was enough. We start slow, our midfield has no physicality, our attackers have no chemistry and our composure is non existent. But we've got some very good players who are not putting it together as a team at the moment. This can go one of two ways-players galvanize after such a comeback and we see a resurgence, or we learn nothing and spiral down. I hope it's the former, I want to believe.

We deserved the win, just about, but clinging on by our fingernails against 10-man Forest, at home, was embarrassing. You’ve got to hope that there will be a reaction at some point.

Other takeaways from today: Rashford playing in position = goals; I’m increasingly worried about Casemiro’s ability to last 45 minutes, let alone 90; Shaw to Dalot is a huge downgrade: our defence looks shakier than ever.

I think we collectively have the most thick players in the premier League. The amount of stupid fouls we give away to an opponent who is heading back towards their own goal. Or Dalot standing in a beautiful position in space in the opponent's box ready for Fernandes free kick to slip him in, Fernandes does indeed slip him in but Dalot is now not ready. The inability to string 3 passes together when we take the lead. Fernandes needless yellow card arguing with a player he has just made look silly and kept possession for us. Every game is like this.

Good 3 points, we limp on. But we will be fighting for 4th no higher than that and hopefully we can win the Europa League this season!

Comments to some of our players:

Onana: I do not know what he was trying to do at their first goal. His action look strange. But of course 1 against 1 it was not his goal.

AWB: Involved in both their goals, but did okay after that.

Dalot: Very poor today.

Casemiro: Scored a goal, but not a good game from him. Many mistakes.

Bruno: Important today and did well. But why does he always have to try the most difficult things? Best United player.

Rashford: Involved in all our 3 goals today.

Martial: Our worst player today. I can not remember him touching the ball in the first half.

Antony: Better in the second half.

It's going to be a very long season.

# Switching off for the goals
# Good pressure, poor finishing but manage to get ahead
# Struggling to hold the ball and maintain possession against 10 men
# Rashford played major role in 2 goals, somehow manages to come out as a neutral if not a net negative
Rashford was involved in all 3.

embarrasing,. we played like cowards against a 10 men team. city would have comfortably smashed this lot if they were in our shoes
I thought my post count was bad. Can't wait to hear from you again in about 1.5 years.

Anyhoo - I enjoyed a lot of that game, we had a bit more confidence and pulled back a 2 goal deficit without looking too troubled. OK, we got nervous in the last 10 minutes or so, but that's par for the course.

Some of the football was very nice to watch.

Good comeback, but the performance from the goal onwards shows we’re still a long way off. A good team there plays a high line and keeps the ball to see the game out, we shouldn’t be defending like that against a bottom half side with 10 men at home.

We reacted well to going 2-0 down, really good sustained pressure to get back to 2-2 and then dropped off a bit until the pen. It was really disappointing that after we went ahead we went back into our shell even though we had the extra man. The mental fragility of the team needs work.

3pts, onto the next one. I think we can surprise a few v.s. Arse.

Okay game, we do seem to react well when down, that’s definitely a pro.

But mentally we just switch off at the worst moments. Also seemed like Casemiro, Rashford were pushed to the edge today at home against a bottom half team.

We need some legs in midfield, big concern if Casemiro gets injured.

Good comeback.
Rashford was so bad yet heavily involved in all our goals. A shit yet great performance, much like the team.

Bruno again instrumental too. Frustratingly good player. Can’t help but love the fecker.

When we got the third the intensity just died. Some of the decision making was utterly baffling by the players and we could have easily conceded at tge end.

Good for morale that we won the way we did. Not OK in no way whatsoever to open games like that though.

Except for first 5 mins, we played quite well. As usual the over reaction here is embarrassing.

There is concern for sure. We just don't keep ball well. It has been a pattern since the first game.

We were the much better team but defending like we did for those two goals I’d going to cost us a lot of points this season.

We need so many more reinforcements if we want to improve on last season. Another number 9, centre midfielder and and centre back most notably, but seeing Dalot stink the place out doesn’t help either.

Decision making, composure, finishing. All terrible. If we could collectively improve all three we'd be a great team

We're far too vulnerable to counters like that. It's really amateurish at this point. Other than that, it was a pretty decent comeback from us.

Awb and Fernandes motm.

Rashford terrible. 1 or 2 moments of magic do not cancel out 90 minutes of sub standard performance. Unacceptable how he's allowed to do this game in game out. I know he's the golden boy and I'll get hate, but he's genuinely not the guy we should be pinning our hopes on. Speaks volumes when fecking Antony was better than him today.

Casemiro guilty of not tracking back at times. Eriksen played well.

Sancho good when he came on. Lindelof excellent too.

Too many mistakes from Dalot. Martinez excellent as usual.

Delighted with the win but can't help but feel we're papering over the cracks with these wins against Wolves and Forest.

The way we couldn't maintain the possession at 3-2 with a man advantage was absolutely shocking. And we didn't have the quality to go and score a 4th to kill it off when we had acres of space.

Jesus that first 5 minutes was awful. Fair play to them for not collapsing because it could have easily happened so credit where it is due for that. The less said about the first two goals the better.

On another note why is onana staying on his line there was 2 moments in the game he could have come and collected it. Strange hopefully he hasn't been completely put off by the coverage that lob got. He seems a confident lad so we shall see.

United desperately need a focal point up top which we know and has been discussed to death.

United also desperately lack someone who can control and dictate the game in the middle of the park. We have too many headless chickens who want to play at 100mph. We could have seen the game out a lot better with a Carrick type player just slowing the game down.

Good comeback but there are some obvious issues that will continue to be exposed.
