The key to this season is keeping Rashford and Martial fit and motivated, Eriksen used correctly, Varane as fit as he can be and Fernandes being able to get into his natural positions without Ronaldo on the pitch and then we stand a chance of getting top four in the league and maybe depending on who goes out in the CL maybe winning Europa.

What should have an easy 3 points, we’ve made really hard work. Poor finishing, poor concentration lead to a really tedious night. Nicosia weren’t particularly great, we outplayed them for long periods but it didn’t feel like we tried to earn this one. Great subs from ETH, Rashford was fab off the bench. Sancho and Malacia had bad games tonight and could lose their places in the team.

If we cannot offload Ronaldo in January, we need to just agree to cancel his contract in May. He cannot complain about the lack of chances. Everyone was trying to give him the ball.

Is it me, or do we just not know how to use space in a defense. I kept seeing open areas and no one was moving into them.
