Absolutely buzzing. Not enjoyed a match as much as that in awhile.

So frustrating we can’t perform at that tempo week in week out

United did well to soak up the relentless pressure during the opening 20 minutes. Most teams would crumble.

Kudos to Herrera and Sanchez today. The best we have seen of Sanchez since he signed for United.

I honestly did not think we would get back into the game after first 20 min. But credit to the players for sticking at it and showing the quality that we all know they possess.

Credit also to Jose, it’s big game management like these that make him a winner but ok his teams are not going to tear the opposition to shreds but he once in front, spuds offered nothing because he negated their play.
I was worried they were going to walk all over us similar to our last visit to Wmebley, but we turned it around and were by far the better team after we equalised.

We were dominant in that second half. Herrera, Sanchez and Pogba were our star players.

Nice from Poch to downplay a trophy yet again before the game.
Its bizarre isnt it? He shouldn't be desperate to win something (anything), but always plays weakened sides or downplays games in the build up. Strange mentality.

Credit to Jose and the team after a dodgy first 20/25mins we made that look really easy and straightforward for a FA Cup Semi

Why do we always need 20-25min to get started in a game. Still don’t like the way we sit back instead of trying to get the 3rd. That second goal really took the wind out of Tottenham’s sails. I expected them to really come back fighting but they just seemed to wither away.

Job done but it’s only spurs!! We should be dominating them and beating them comfortably. Another final.

It's games like this where I can see what José is building with United:

  • Offensively ruthless
  • Defensively rock solid
  • Key word. Efficient
We've done this now against Liverpool, 2nd half vs City, now against Spurs. Each of them performances where (barring Aguero's chance with De Gea's wonder-save), we have completely nullified their main goal scorer and picked them off with ruthless efficiency. Particularly in this game we comfortably kept the, at arms length and were never really troubled, similar to the Pool match.

We are just too damn inconsistent with it (can't help but think Martial would have tucked away Rashford's fluff in injury time) and individual defensive lapses (Lukaku at every corner.....ever).

If he can get consistent performances like this and then add the ruthless finishing against lesser teams, I can see us being a force again.

.....and this is from one who has previously voted to get rid of Mournho too.

I will forever find it baffling how some people prefer to have Poch over Jose as United manager. They are not from the same planet.

Today highlighted how they’ve ruined the FA Cup final as an occasion by having the semis at Wembley. That felt like a final.

We completely stopped a very good Spurs side in a semi final... Not sure what I'd rank above it.
Well, there's a hatful of games where we scored four to choose from but if you want a more recent half of football how about the one where we scored three against City without reply?

Not to take away from this game, I thought after 25 minutes or so we were really good, just not the best we've been all season.

Get in lads

Herrera, Sanchez, Pogba, Smalling and Jones all deserve high praise. Top game by all.

We need new fullbacks asap!

Mourinho has learnt from his past mistakes and got the team selection and tactics right today.

Above all, the players looked like they had a point to prove. Alexis Sanchez was yet again the major difference maker in another match of gigantic consequences. Just like against manciteh, he was the match winner and catalyst for the win. He scored the first and basically created the second.

What a player we have on our hands. With a strong preseason and further integration into the lineup, im hoping he can manage another 20 goal season in the Prem like last year.

Credit to Mourinho and the team. We're becoming comeback specialists again! Deserved, professional win. Never had a doubt, thought it would be by more though.

I think the plan was to contain them for that period. Jose was fuming that Young was so far out of position for the first. But he knew that they’d run out of ideas just as they did last year

Yeah I found that odd. No doubting his ability as a manager, but this was a chance to get to a final against a team you twatted 3-1 at the Bridge or Southampton. A trophy to really lay the foundations for a new future at Spurs. As it is, it's the same old.

For me, he lacks the necessary winning mentality to ever succeed at the highest level of football
Remember how important was a 1st trophy under Fergie and it was a FA cup which started our domination.
Poch would like to skip things yet he can't win anything as a start.

Lovely goals. They gave up in the end except for kicking lumps out of Jesse

Really good game of football to watch. Thought that the way this game went would have been how the first match at Wembley would have gone had Jones not conceded that own goal. Spurs are fast starters but I thought they were gassed by the end of the first half. United played smartly to hit them on the counter after conceding early.

Herrera had a 10/10 performance for me. Thought that the other big name players like Sanchez and Pogba also had good performances. If I was to look at one negative from this and from preceding weeks it would be the full-backs. What the hell was Young doing for the first goal, that should have been Sanchez pressing there, not him. They also offered very little attacking threat which others have mentioned regularly. Aside from that, it's another final at Wembley!

He probably wont win a thing and will leave Spurs. Him or his best players first. Or both.

Well, we can't. For some reason, we run less than most teams on average, so an effort like today requires a monumental effort.
Well it needs addressing in the summer window, get a top class fitness coach in or something.

We perform with that energy and there’s very few teams that could match us.
