We were sloppy and awful positionally in the first 25 mins. Mata is not a wide right player. Once Ole moved him as a floating 10 we looked better but still not 100% convincing as a team. Matic was shocking and Herrera looked out of sorts. Shaw was outstanding and is fulfilling the promise we bought him for. Wolves will press, press, press on Tuesday. It's sad, but we are a far better counter-attacking team and thus are set up to play better away from home, where we concede a lot of possession. A bit poor to actually concede as Barca will have the lion's share of the ball and we need to remain focused defensively. Good game time and minutes on the pitch for Martial and Herrera though, regardless of performance.

Our midfield lacks energy and fight, until Herrera got injured against Liverpool he was far better than what he is showing now! Is he not fully fit? Is he distracted by PSG and €200k p/w? I really don't know! One thing that is quite clear is that Matic is a tractor and does nothing to help the team, the sooner he's out the line up the better, stick McT there at CDM or put Herrera at CDM with Fred in the RCM role next to Pogba.

-------------McTominay-----------

---Herrera-------------Pogba------

Or

-----------Herrera---------------------

-----Fred----------Pogba-------------

Anything but Matic please!? :(

Ole said he thinks we need 15 points from our 21 to secure top THREE. Very bold claim when 4 teams are separated by a single point. i am not sure if that will be enough.

Can't understand why some people think Pogba had a good game. Caught in possession too often, gave the ball away and as ever didn't chase back. He's a liability as far as I'm concerned. Agree with general consensus that Shaw was MoM and Jones did well too. martial looked rather disinterested and I still think Rash needs a rest - is he really over that injury? All in all, we have to take the result and move on, as players always say, because the performance was only slightly above piss-poor
