So we hadn't lost a game all season where we'd scored first but that record has now gone out the window. It was all looking good when McTominay opened the scoring after 13 minutes, a deserved reward for a bright start by us. We should have added another goal but Lukaku and Lingard squandered a couple of great chances.

A mistake by Fred then allowed Wolves to snatch an equaliser and after that the home side got stronger while we faded as a force in the game. Two rash tackles by Young early in the second-half saw the captain receive two yellows and his marching orders. After that it was a damage limitation exercise but Wolves took advantage of their superior numbers and scored another scrappy goal with Smalling poking the ball into his own net.

With a man less we struggled to create anything after going behind and it ended 2:1. A huge setback to our top four ambitions and our third defeat in four games.

Lots of work to do for Ole and guys. Next up, Barcelona :nervous:

Wolves 0:1 Man Utd - McTominay (13')

Wolves 1:1 Man Utd - Jota (25')

Wolves 2:1 Man Utd - Smalling (77' o.g.)

We beat ourselves. Should have scored the second and gifted them a route back into it.

A disgrace.

No leaders on the pitch.

I'd drive Pogba to Madrid if they want to pay £150m for him.

Shot ourselves in the foot. We're now least likely of the chasing pack to finish in the top 4.

Let down by the experience tonight.

Got what we deserved, not good enough tonight and didn’t seem to want it enough. You can’t crumble for 30minutes when you concede a goal. Hopefully we find some balls eventually.

If we want to be a very good team then we can't have 7 of that starting 11.

Fred and Young cost us the game, two awful players that shouldn't be here.

There's a lesson in it somewhere, our great minds will surely see it.

We're not winning major titles with Young or Lingard in the starting eleven.

Bye bye Champions League football for next season.....

Looking forward to seeing a defence of Jones, Smalling and Young starting while our biggest rivals are ending up dominating English and European trophies....

An annoying match. Played much better than Saturday but, we should had that sewn up in the 1st half.

One of the most expected defeats of the season, especially after seeing the team. Was surprised to see us actually play well for the first twenty minutes.

We made a sentimental appointment and now we have to deal with it.

The squad is absolutely terrible and we are miles off competing.

Countless examples of gutlessness and incompetence tonight.

Top four gone. Only McTominay can be said to have had an average game. 10 passengers besides. Probably headed for sixth.

Score you fecking chances and you win. Give away pointless chances and you lose. It's that simple.

Score our chances in the first half and its an easy game. Don't make stupid mistakes and its an easy game.

We cannot do either of those two things. Football is a simple game and unfortunately we have simple minded players
