Shambolic performance.

Terrible performance. I don't know how we look so weak and timid. Can't complete a pass.

I had a lot of hope coming into this season but our football is still as bad as it was under Ole/Rangnick.

One of the worst performances from a United team I can remember. Just amateurish from start to finish. ETH better buck his ideas up.

That was the kind of performance that calls for "can a win be a loss" thread to be bumped. Wow truly tragic but first game of the season and the 3 points will do.

Pre-game, geared up to see United and excited for the season.

Post-game, wondering how the feck we do that again 37 times.

Got away with it. We must improve in a number of areas, including passing, creating chances and defending.

Shambolic performance. Well done United killing any optimism for the season within the first 90 minutes.

Man it’s
Worst performance in a while the formation looked awful, midfield was completely empty need amrabat asap. Outplayed utterly and wolves were unlucky.

Very sloppy, but United-Wolves are always cagey shitshows.

Today was no different.

Will take the 3 points and run.

I'd like to write that one off as early season rustiness but we looked woeful physically compared to Wolves, our players were running in sand. Gonna need to improve a lot and fast.

Got the 3 pts which was the most important thing but the display was woeful , we deserved nothing out of the game. It was as poor as anything we saw at the start of last season just Wolves could not convert any of the many chances they had.

Think we can call ourselves a bit jammy to be coming away with 3 points

Our attack is well and truly garbage

The Caicedo fee is mad, but at the same time a player with his dynamism, speed and mobility would be the second coming in this midfield. Way too slow and static.

3 points will do but the lads will have to sharpen up quickly. I liked the look of AWB, Casemiro and Sancho.

Let’s be honest, we have a lot to be concerned about after that.

I feel like the only real way we are going to make huge progress as a team is we bring in 5 or 6 new faces in one summer.

Bruno and Mount are never going to work as a midfield two, and Casemiro looks as if age is catching up with him (although I’m sure he will pick things up after a run of games).

Also, why are our fitness levels almost as if we haven’t had 12 week break?

Shitshow from start to finish. I hope we look so cumersome and slow because of a hard training program in pre-season, if not it’ll be a new long season.

Enthusiasm for the season gone after one game. That was so so poor.
it’s funny because it’s true.

all day I’ve been so excited now I’m already at the point of different season, same crap.

Still don't quite know how we won that. It was a very, very bad performance. Actually painful to watch. Player looked like they had just met each other for the first time in the tunnel.

Surely we can’t play as bad as that again. That was genuinely awful.

Cant believe I sat and watched that match.

3 points but after that preseason and now this tonight, extremely underwhelming.

I'm sorry but I can't enjoy this shower of shite served up in the 1st game of the season. What's the excuse ? Fatigue ? Accumulated games ? Suspension ?

We are often rubbish first game of the season. Great to get all 3 points against a bogey side.

I'll give it a few more games before worrying about the performance.

Delighted with the three points and clean sheet. Performance very poor and had toothless Wolves to thank for not scoring a goal or two and another ref or VAR might have given Wolves a penalty in added time but knowing wolves strike rate on the night they probably would have missed it.

False dawn confirmed. We will be better but not too far from that garbage we just witnessed. Utterly disappointed.

Brutal performance, can't believe that we won. Looks like the players need another preseason right away because they were second best at everything. Can't believe how poor we looked, and quite worried for the season already. Need to improve massively right away.

That was fecking awful.

Onana was going to be the only positive, but got away with dropping a fecking clanger.

Our midfield just got walked through, as I expected, but the Lens game gave me hope it might work. It won't.

So poor. Shame for Wolves as they deserved a point and probably even all three tbf.

Win and a clean sheet is a good thing but we're not finishing even in top 4 if this is how we're going to play.
