It's that time again. Get your predictions in.

I'll do a tally up as usual. I actually think last year, not a single person guessed right.

Usual rules apply, open for submissions and edits until the first game of the season, after which you are just cheating.

If you don't pick 6, your submissions wont be counted.

Things can change because the transfer window still open. But with current squad. I m struggling with regards to Arsenal or Liverpool for 3rd. I feel Chelsea will just make it into a champion league position. Manchester united defense will win us the title. I do not see any team that has a better defense than us. Moreover, with us finally getting a striker, our team is complete and doesn't have any noticeable balancing issue.

As @Amadaeus says, our defence is great. If midfield gels, it’s down to our very fast attackers…

I actually somewhat agree that Chelsea will surprise people and be top 4 contenders. Liverpool SHOULD get 3rd or 4th but that defense just looks so ropey so they might be a bit of a glass cannon. I think us and Arsenal are both pretty locked into 2nd/3rd barring some really bad injury luck.

City will win it, there will probably be a team who will do better than expected (Chelsea or Liverpool) and one worse than expected (Arsenal or United). So I would go with:

1. City
2. United
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Newcastle

1. City
2. United
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Newcastle

Unless any punishment occurs for the 115 charges, they will win it of course, the machine that they are.

I believe we can do one better this year and finish 2nd with the way EtH has strengthened and developed the team.

Liverpool have to be better this season, and with one or two more signings they should have the depth to be able to cope with the fixture demands of the EL and still finish top 4.

Arsenal will stutter a little bit, I believe. They will enjoy being back in the UCL and that will be a distraction and I don't don't think their signings will strengthen them that much. But they still have the quality and depth to manage top 4.

Chelsea will be able to solely focus on the league and getting consistency and gelling this new batch of young players. But 5th is highest I can see Poch getting. It may seem like an overachievement on paper at this point. But the owners and fans will certainly see it as another disappointing season.

Newcastle I think will struggle to cope with the demands of the UCL and the league. They may even drop into the EL from the group stages, making their season even tougher. They have some really really good players but is there enough depth there?

EDIT: Just reading some other posts - does 5th place get you into the UCL from now on?

Our defence will be great if we can replace Lindelof and Maguire before the end of the transfer window.

I worry about our Central defense, as I think Varane might be declining and after him and Martinez it's slim pickings. I'm a little worried about where the goals will come from too. Hopefully we can grab 4th but I think with how others have strengthened (and Liverpool will be suddenly much more full of energy and running... Somehow) it'll be tough to get any higher.

Fully expect Spurs to flop hard and think Newcastle will struggle with the added games but still have a good season. Villa will push hard in 7th. Think there'll be a big jump down to the rest.

Chelsea have no European Football which is why they will win 20-22 PL games all of the top 5 will get more than 72 points and Qualify for CL, that extra space this season will mean Brighton 7th and Spurs 8th will mean the PL will be highly competitive this season .
