We've been here before with Graham Potter looking like a class manager at Brighton, only to then look mediocre when managing a club with a terrible structure above him.
Potter was very good, agreed.
But De Zerbi has taken Brighton to another level, dominating the pitch with a slick, modern style against most teams in the league, while battling an injury crisis, and finishing top of their Europa League group containing Marseille and Ajax.
And with this injury crisis, the style of play has not faltered, has not dropped off.
