Premier League Gameweek 1

  • The day many of you wished for has finally come - Match Day Score Predictions are no longer restricted to just 5 goals... *

    * The timing of this change is purely coincidental and has nothing to do with any perception of underperformance by any team in recent matches or fan pessimism, justified or otherwise, for future matches. (Probably).

Peak banter Arsenal would lose tonight 1-0. Let's see how far they've come.

You guys ready for the extreme overreaction from pundits and journalists when Arsenal inevitably smack Palace tonight?

”Can Arsenal win the league after what we’ve seen tonight?!”

feck, i'm well excited for football to be back. Lost a bit of interest in it a couple of seasons ago but feel the buzz for it again and I love it.

Nah, Utd have already won it after smacking us 4-0 in the first game of the (pre)season.

Arsenal with an interesting selection... imagine the Palace fans are going to give a certain player a bit of grief. Not really sure what Arteta is thinking with that selection. Bizarre.

Isn't that close to their strongest XI apart from White at RB?

Well, despite my pessimism regarding United, it's good to have football back. Now let's have another opening day defeat for Arsenal to lift the spirits.

Somehow i completely missed Clyne was a Crystal Palace player
I don't understand that lineup. Who is RB/RWB for Arsenal?
White is until Tomiyasu is fit, just like against Sevilla.

He’s played all preseason, this was expected.

Ben White they think at RB. Who knows.?

Would be odd though if he’s filling in as who do you drop later on?
Tomiyasu when he's fit would probably play there. I think White, Gabriel and Saliba are competing for the CB spot with Holding as 4th choice. They look a bit light at CB actually considering they have EL as well.
