I think you're right, a good summer is essential to our title hopes next year. Bringing in Haaland could be the final piece of the puzzle.

City will more than likely finish this season with 89 points a total United haven't achieved since Fergusons last season as United manager.
United in their previous two seasons got 66 points so the likelihood that United was going to finish with 89 or over points this season was extremely slim.

We didn't win those games you mention because we're not on that level to win most of our games and go on long winning streaks. We may be in future but are not at the moment imo.

In may seem so on paper, but in reality it never works like that. City would never have played weakend teams against Leeds and Chelsea if the gap was closer and Utd may have dropped points in other games if the pressure was on.
Utd have dropped points when they really had the chance to put pressure on City, but when the gap became bigger , they won games when their was less pressure. Just don’t think Utd have got the mentality to have won the title.
That’s it precisely, there was an opportunity there to really have a go and a team with the proper winning mentality would have smelt blood and went for it. Unfortunately we just aren’t quite there yet.
