Protest at Old Trafford

We won't get points docked. If today's game is postponed and they even give a win to Liverpool (which I don't think they will), who cares really? We are safe in TOP 4. This thing is bigger than 3 points and we surely now got a lot of attention from the media.

Even if we get docked points, barring a huge collapse we still finish top 4 and we have the EL. The worst to come out of this is Glazers not getting a few more quid for us finishing 2nd.

But the publicity on a Sunday would be great for damaging our image with sponsors and making the leeches think about selling.

I received a text from MUST at eleven this morning about the protest. I know they wouldn't want the protest advertised everywhere well in advance, but I couldn't get along at such short notice.

Great work, just as long as it's peaceful, civil disobedience against the Glazers if justified.

Some media outlets are taking part in the Social media boycott, therefore they're unable to twist how the protests are reported

This is beautiful. I love this.

Well done to those fans that attended. If any on here were part of this, or any of them happen to be reading this thread, well done! I'm with you in spirit

A few princesses on here won't like that

Eh, not a fan of them going onto the pitch but it sends a message at least. Will be annoyed if the game gets cancelled and/or we get docked points as you're then hurting the team and players rather than just owners. But hard to separate that as it's connected.

Good thing DvB wasn’t in the protest, poor fecker wouldn’t be able to even get on the pitch that way.

Short notice. Was planned for 2 weeks

I don't condone breaking anything but when the fans made it into the stadium, NBC sports here in the states moved to a split screen from the Arsenal game to Old Trafford and just spent the last 10 minutes covering the protest so it did add to the coverage. Glad they didn't do much damage.
Yeah. I watched the same. Even though most are peaceful, there are a few (just a few) thugs who did some damage to the media coverage area. I hope the internal facilities of the stadium won’t be damaged by them.

Mixed feelings on this. There’s protesting and then being a twat. Imagine if we get docked points and have to forfeit today’s match.

Too much protesting nowadays is about those protesting seeking attention and two minutes of social media fame.

You’re right, They should have stayed home and posted hashtags on twitter!!

People complaining about protesting in front of team hotels or team buses are wrong. You protest where the cameras are - where you can make the biggest noise and reach the biggest audience. That's how your message gets heard and thats when commercial partners will start paying attention.

People worrying about matches being called off or points deductions are wrong too. Seasons, points, even managers and players come and go but a club and it's supporters are bigger than any of those.

Why are they all focusing on that corner, is that where the TV cameras are? Unless it's the area Ed and the Glazers if they were there would sit?

Guessing the police will be sent to remove them all....

It's been spoken about for a long time eg walking out of games, they've picked a good one to protest at

The owners won't care, as the club will still make them money

Inappropriate Behavior
So who is going to replace them who can spend the sort of money to get us level with City? I do want them gone by the way.
Looks like it being a keyboard princess from near the ground can't be bothered to go and then complain about the people that have

Hopefully or even better game is called off. We need maximum publicity here. Well done to all who have gone. Keep it peaceful guys and #GlazersOut
Yeah, lets hope it is :wenger:

I want the game to go ahead and United beating Liverpool.

Is this attitude really necessary? Youre not replying to Joel Glazer ffs

It is understood the Premier League, who have a compliance officer on site, do not belief there is an issue about the game going ahead from a purely coronavirus perspective as there was no admission to dressing rooms.

More from that extraordinary story at Old Trafford. According to BBC journalists there, the fans are starting to leave the pitch and there is no danger of the match being affected.

I wonder if they’re leaving because they know Sky news have covered it now.

Members of the media are currently locked outside the as the gates of their usual entrances remain shut and the Old Trafford stadium is put on lockdown as thousands of Manchester United fans continue their protests against the owners.
