Random "Access Denied" every so often happening again

Logging in on an incognito browser or clearing cookies resolves the issue.

This screen shows sporadically for me, preventing any further action and giving me PTSD from all the times I was unjustly banned for trying to seduce mods

Had this for a month on my phone Safari but worked on Chrome. One day it worked again.
 
Happening again now on work laptop. Could be VPN related or summat possibly?
 
Happens to me all the time. After clearing cache I can browse a few pages and then it starts over again.
On Android Firefox I can't even log in, I get some "Ooops we have problem check console for errors" dialog box.

Edit: Whoa can't believe my post went thru. Anyway I'm on macOS + Firefox.
 
Been getting this a lot lately as well. Android + Chrome. With NordVPN.
 
Seems to have stopped, forums work well on all browsers and devices. Did you change something or did it fix by itself?
 
ive had this since the maintenance. can browse as a neutral elsewhere but soon as i log in get that error
 
Had this today, first time. Had to clear cookies and cache to get it working again.
 
I’ve been having this error quite frequently in the past month (on safari iOS). As others have said, clearing website data in safari settings makes the problem go away. Is there any way to fix this for good?
 
Bit of a weird one, but I get this message whenever I minimise the sticky thread section using the arrow on the right in the Football Forum...? Lasts until I clear my cookies, reoccurs if I minimise it again.

Edit: happens with the stickies in every forum.

I've just tested this and got the same thing. I'm looking into it.

For now, if you want to avoid clearing all your cookies and relogging in, then delete the `xf_toggle` cookie for this site and requests should start working again.
 
@Niall This keeps happening annoying amount of times now. Is this a problem with the new theme or something? I’ve tried a few browsers but they all eventually throw the same error.

Is there any way I can stop this from happening on my device?

Nothing specific. Just browsing around the forums and snap - “access denied “

Then I need to delete website data from safari settings and I’m able to log in again.

I thought switching browsers might fix things, but it didn’t help.

Same here. Ive deleted cookies endless times, even incognito mode if i log back in i get a few pages i can view as normal then that dreaded screen pops up. Happens on pc and mobile, this is the only site with the issue since the maintenance
 
Actively having same issue at moment.
If I go onto safari on my phone, says access denied.

Have to go via incognito for this to work at moment.

Any ways around this rather than go incognito like a sus person?
 
Can’t log on on my IPad as I keep getting access denied but works fine on my IPhone. Any advice?
 
Works only in private mode on my mobile. Desktop is fine.

I blame ETH
 
Anyone had any luck getting back on iPhone/Safari? I haven’t been able to use this combo for almost two weeks now. :(

It's an issue related to cookies then. When you use incognito mode you have no cookies for the site until you login. Clearing cookies in normal browser mode should fix it, but you'll need to log back in :(

But I was stubborn. I just went in cognito for 1-2 weeks. I randomly tried on my normal browser mode today and its worked today. No cookies eaten/cleared.

I assumed you guys did something to resolve it.

i get blocked in incognito mode aswell. I clear cookies endlessly, still locks me out
