So was Inzaghi to be fair. Like I said he was good, but never close to the level of Elkjær.Tomasson was quite good in the buildup. Not amazingly creative, but he was quite good at dropping off, receiving the pass and then picking the right pass.

What the feckHe was something truly special, and somewhat crazy.
He once exchanged Sep Pionteks tactics video with a porno and apparently they where quite far into the tactics meeting before Sep realized something was off.
For sure.So was Inzaghi to be fair. Like I said he was good, but never close to the level of Elkjær.
The lad who tore up the Euros last time out, and scored that brilliant freekick against England, has given me pause. After that tourny I went and watched his videos at Sampdoria, I think, and he looked great there too! I was convinced he could be great for us.Not to be a killjoy or anything, but there's a lot of players that have dominated our league and found themselves a bench somewhere in Europe.
He was easily the best player of our league in the second half of the season, but I'd hold my verdict until we see how he fares in Benfica.
I think he's just a bad fit for the Prem and Brentford in particular, lacking pace and power. He'd be better off as a #10 in a team playing an orthodox 4-2-3-1. Would be decent at Brighton in the role Lallana is playing. Brentford could use the money towards a serious bid for an Eriksen replacement who's a level above Jensen, which is what Damsgaard is supposed to be (and was for Denmark) but he seems to lack the ability to win 2nd balls that defines Brentford. Someone like Kudus could become a proper star at Brentford and if they paid Ajax 25 M and gave him a nice 45M type release clause it could suit everyone involved. The lad who tore up the Euros last time out, and scored that brilliant freekick against England, has given me pause. But now he is struggling to get unstuck from Brentford's bench and I haven't seen or heard his name mentioned in a quite a long time.
He was injured for almost a year with some very complicated issues. Will take time for him to get back to his best. The lad who tore up the Euros last time out, and scored that brilliant freekick against England, has given me pause. Nothing to do with the PL. He was really good the year before the Euros with Sampdoria. But he got injured right after he came back from the Euros, and his last season with Sampdoria was almost a sabbatical one…I think he's just a bad fit for the Prem and Brentford in particular, lacking pace and power. Yeah, but Lallana is also a player who needed the right fit, even in his prime. Could play in a 4 out wide, but not a 5 since he always lacked explosiveness, and then he could play centrally, but not in a 2.Nothing to do with the PL. He was really good the year before the Euros with Sampdoria. But he got injured right after he came back from the Euros, and his last season with Sampdoria was almost a sabbatical one…
He got a very aggressive form of arthritis. It took him a long time to fully recover… I doubt he will ever get back his pre-injury level (the pace and acceleration he had), but he can be a really decent player with his creativity. Lalla is the right benchmark IMO.
That sucks for the lad. Injuries are the worst.Nothing to do with the PL. He was really good the year before the Euros with Sampdoria. But he got injured right after he came back from the Euros, and his last season with Sampdoria was almost a sabbatical one…

I disagree. Don't think he ever had great pace or acceleration. Certainly not compared to traditionel PL wingers. That being said, I'm also surprised he hasn't featured more for Brentford. Hard to tell how much is due to the athritis.Nothing to do with the PL. He was really good the year before the Euros with Sampdoria. He doesn't strike me as capable of reaching great heights scoring-wise. Haaland was already a freak in that domain at a very young age... But Højlund looks better gifted technically.Just read an interview with Højlund where he admits he's a huge United fan. He's an interesting one because his skillset is comparable to that of Haaland's - even if he's far from his level. Hope we're monitoring him. In general, I would just love for us to sign more young players with potential for relatively low fees and loan them back to their clubs.
Probably not. Very few probably will tbf. Haaland's instincts are insane. But look at the clip above from today's game. His build and pace remind me more of Haaland than any other player I can think of.He doesn't strike me as capable of reaching great heights scoring-wise. Was that Lazio player raising his hand for offside?!Tweet

Potato twitter footage is all I could find but... fecking roadrunner.
Dolberg is neither particularly fast nor strong. He also doesn't seem to have the right attitude to move to the next level. IMO Højlund is already the better player and should start in the national team. Was that Lazio player raising his hand for offside?!
Ok so this is a super lazy comparison and just a throwaway comment...but the next Kasper Dolberg?
Hope it works out for him and your national team.Dolberg is neither particularly fast nor strong. He also doesn't seem to have the right attitude to move to the next level. IMO Højlund is already the better player and should start in the national team.

Hat-trick tonight versus Finland. Showed great instincts and movement in the box for the goals. Quoting myself here because he reminds me more and more of Haaland every time I watch him - even if he's still far from his level.Just read an interview with Højlund where he admits he's a huge United fan. Thanks.Didn't even know about him. Seems like Rasmus is done staying in the shadows.
First hat-trick on our national team since M Laudrup I believe.Hat-trick in his first start for Denmark. Clearly gonna be better than Haaland, and without the HGH facial features.
Just off the top of my head, I’m pretty sure Bendtner scored one against USA some years ago. That was in a friendly though - might be the first in a competitive game since Laudrup.First hat-trick on our national team since M Laudrup I believe.
Rasmus looks like a real special talent.
ah yes true. Still its very impressive to do this in his first full debut.Just off the top of my head, I’m pretty sure Bendtner scored one against USA some years ago. That was in a friendly though - might be the first in a competitive game since Laudrup.
Edit: And Eriksen scored one in the WC playoff game away to Ireland.
Is that our criteria now?I mean, is he gonna be worse than Weghorst?
