Got me excited we were signing Brock lesnar to play up front.Think he'll be the 'next big thing'
Didn't even need to open it.Great player. Decided he is just what we need as soon as I opened this thread and discovered he existed.
Love that kind of goal, it's kick and run but it's sick when it comes off. Excellent finish tooTweet

He's no Evan Ferguson
Both Rasmus Højlund and Casper Tengstedt look the real deal.I just hope Denmark will finally produce a striker who scores goals. We haven't really had a proper one since... Bendtner?
We have a bunch of vaguely defined offensive players though.
He will only show up for the big games.Got me excited we were signing Brock lesnar to play up front.
As long as he F5's Klopp I'm fine with that.He will only show up for the big games.
We could get the beautiful man Eriksen to have a word with him?I just hope Denmark will finally produce a striker who scores goals. We haven't really had a proper one since... Bendtner?

Not to be a killjoy or anything, but there's a lot of players that have dominated our league and found themselves a bench somewhere in Europe. Both Rasmus Højlund and Casper Tengstedt look the real deal.
Denmark have been great at producing playmakers over the years, but the last great striker was what, Elkjaer 50 years ago?I just hope Denmark will finally produce a striker who scores goals. We haven't really had a proper one since... Bendtner?

Absolutely. But he looks very promising. Time will tell. Not to be a killjoy or anything, but there's a lot of players that have dominated our league and found themselves a bench somewhere in Europe.
He was easily the best player of our league in the second half of the season, but I'd hold my verdict until we see how he fares in Benfica.
Ebbe Sand.Denmark have been great at producing playmakers over the years, but the last great striker was what, Elkjaer 50 years ago?
I said great. Sand was good, as was JDT and even Bendtner for the national team at least. But there have been zero great strikers in my lifetime.Ebbe Sand.
They've never had a truly great striker in my time watching football. (Edit)Denmark have been great at producing playmakers over the years, but the last great striker was what, Elkjaer 50 years ago?
He was the best player in the Bundesliga for a bit, and carried his form over to the national side too. He was a great striker for us.I said great. Sand was good, as was JDT and even Bendtner for the national team at least. But there have been zero great strikers in my lifetime.
Elkjær was fantastic. Jon Dahl couldnt even lace his boots. They've never had a truly great striker.
Aside from John Dahl Tomasson the Newcastle legend.
Obviously he was shit at Newcastle but decent every where else. He's also their joint all time top scorer.
I would say Elkjær was great and not just good. Not quite 50 years ago, as he's only 65 now, but yeah, that's quite a drought. They've never had a truly great striker.

They do seem to be pretty similar in style and profile, aside from Hojlund preferring his left foot. Will be interesting to see which has the higher ceiling, but Utd should be considering the likes of both perhaps even instead of someone like Kane on a downward trajectory, especially with Rashford emerging as increasingly effective at CF.He's no Evan Ferguson
Besides Elkjær who was great, Ebbe Sand was topscorer in Bundesliga for Schalke 04. Not a very long peak but he was actually very good. They've never had a truly great striker.

I should have said in my time watching football. I've edited that now.Elkjær was fantastic. Jon Dahl couldnt even lace his boots.
JDT was a good striker, but he was very much of the Inzaghi ilk. His nose for being at the right spot for tap ins was very good. Elkjær was a much more complete footballer and could create goals on his own.I should have said in my time watching football. I've edited that now.
It's funny that JDT socred more goals overall and won quite a lot more, and is still not being considered as all that good compared to other players.
I'm sold. A few mins on youtube has thought me enough to see what you mean.To me it looks like he was Rui Costa and Batistuta rolled into one player.JDT was a good striker, but he was very much of the Inzaghi ilk. His nose for being at the right spot for tap ins was very good. Elkjær was a much more complete footballer and could create goals on his own.
Fair enough I guess. We're probably just splitting hairs here, as he was clearly a good striker and did well for the national team. Elkjaer on the other hand ...He was the best player in the Bundesliga for a bit, and carried his form over to the national side too. He was a great striker for us.
He was something truly special, and somewhat crazy.I'm sold. A few mins on youtube has thought me enough to see what you mean.To me it looks like he was Rui Costa and Batistuta rolled into one player.
I'm going to have watch more later.
Scored a famous goal without a boot against Juventus too and made Verona win Serie A - He's a legend in Verona and he has the title of honourary citizen in the town - the year they won he got around 6-700 votes for Mayor of Verona (he was not on the list of candidates)I'm sold. Tomasson was quite good in the buildup. Not amazingly creative, but he was quite good at dropping off, receiving the pass and then picking the right pass.JDT was a good striker, but he was very much of the Inzaghi ilk. His nose for being at the right spot for tap ins was very good. Elkjær was a much more complete footballer and could create goals on his own.
