Removing Messi: Dinking the keeper?

United would be at least 2 up if players dinked the ball, but it's a shot most won't opt for over slotting to the left or right of the keeper, whether for fear of fecking it up, or simply not having the quickness of mind to select such a specialised finish in a split second.

As the title says, removing Messi, how many players can you think of who routinely dink the keeper or use it as the optimal shot when it's on?

Not only players who dink the keeper, but nobody goes around the keeper anymore either, i remember Ronaldo (Brazilian) doing it all the time, i feel like Martial could have done this as well if not dinking it and he could have scored.

I don't think it's a case of really opting for the low left corner. Dinking the keeper is simply a difficult skill that requires great technique, imagination and a quick mind.

Nani did it for us a few times. Not a player who scored a huge amount of goals, but you could always trust him to lob it over the keeper the few times he was one on one.

Was thinking EXACTLY during the game. Quite often actually, not sure why we don’t go for that shot.
