The reserves play against Liverpool reserves tonight. 7pm KO as usual.

I expect a slightly weakened team tonight due to the CC game the other night. I don't expect to see Rafael, Fabio, Macheda, Welbeck or Obertan tonight.

Reserves continue cup defence

United's defence of the Lancashire Senior Cup continues on Thursday evening, as Liverpool visit Moss Lane.

The Merseysiders are the only team to have beaten the Reds in a competitive fixture this season, but history is on the hosts' side; last time the two teams met in the competition, United edged a thrilling 2007/08 final 3-2 as Danny Drinkwater scored the winner.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Warren Joyce call upon five members of the first team squad who faced Barnsley in the Carling Cup. Kiko Macheda, Zoran Tosic and Ritchie de Laet featured at Oakwell, while Corry Evans, Matty James and Josh King were unused substitutes.

They are joined in Thursday's roster by Ron-Robert Zieler, Reece Brown, Joe Dudgeon, Oliver Gill, Cameron Stewart, Sam Hewson, Oliver Norwood and Febian Brandy.

MUTV's live coverage of the tie begins at 6:30pm, half an hour before kick-off.

United squad: Zieler; R Brown, Dudgeon, C Evans, de Laet, Gill; Stewart, Hewson, Norwood, Tosic, James; King, Macheda, Brandy.

Does anyone else think Eikrem could be on the bench against Blackburn? I mean if he isn't involved here and is not injured..

Wasn't Eikrem declared injured by Noggie sources this week?

Can't get ultrasurf to work, does anyone have a stream that doesn't stop every 20 secs?

And yes, Eikrem has a slight thigh injury.
