Iran to chair the UN Human Rights Council Social Forum!

No, it's not a joke.

(Or perhaps the UN has become a joke. )

feck the UN. I think I would echo the voices of many here when I say that I wish that useless shite disappears in its current form.

This was an amazing 3-hour podcast like extremely high-level conversation between Patrick Bet-David and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi this weekend.
Very interesting watch if you're into Middle East, Mossadegh, Shah's White (Socialist-ish) revolution, Political Prisoners / SAVAK under Shah, the 1979 Islamic revolution, role of Carter administration and KGB, what the future could hold, etc.
Patrick himself is half-Iranian and had left Iran a few years after the terrorists took over, so he's extremely passionate about this subject.

I think you'll find this fascinating to watch @2cents

This is the interview trailer:

And this is the full 3-hour discussion:

Teenage children of jailed Narges Mohammadi accept her Nobel Peace Prize

10th December 2023

The teenage twins of jailed Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi have accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on her behalf.

Ms Mohammadi - who is serving a 10-year jail term in Tehran - won this year's prize for her work fighting against the oppression of women in Iran.

In a speech smuggled from prison and read out by her children, she denounced Iran's "tyrannical" government.
