Japan must be a nightmare to coach against. Their patterns of play are ridiculous and inconsistent.
Love the flair. Its like watching a team of Tim Horans

Electric stuff.Absolutely love the Japanese brand of rugby.
Fortune favours the brave?Japan are amazing to watch but they don’t half pass the ball forward. They’re getting away with it, mind.
On the other hand, it'll mean that Japan can keep the pace up right to the end.I think the mini half times at every scrum and lineout may end up saving South Africa here. Without those breaks they'd be dead on their feet already.
True.On the other hand, it'll mean that Japan can keep the pace up right to the end.
Japan need a score though. Really need to go into halftime ahead after all this effort.True.
I agree. Not sure about that call there
Yep. Another one where they could have taken a second look. Not sure about that call there
The James Lowe-style one? It probably could have been looked at again though. It's a courtesy that's been given to teams in every other game that Barnes is denying them.No I think that was the right call in fairness. De Allende needed to release the ball while he was on the floor. You see the Japanese ball carriers do it all the time - show you are making an effort to release it and the ref will let you away.
As soon as he crawled on his knee without releasing, he was playing the ball on the floor.
Dangerous again. Will the TMO say something this time? Is there a TMO today?WTF is Barnes up to??
Ridiculous. The fact that he just refuses to go to it, and that they don't intervene!Dangerous again. Will the TMO say something this time? Is there a TMO today?
I have a problem with this because the precedent has been set in loads of other games of Refs referring or TMOs intervening to ask the Ref to look again. Barnes is out of step here.Ridiculous. The fact that he just refuses to go to it, and that they don't intervene!
Keeping that tempo up 80 minutes is tough work.Hmmmm are Japan fading a bit, like against Scotland?
