The enemy attacks are pretty buggy, it's the hitbox issues all over again (From software are absolutely trash at actual development). Also as I said to ode, they have duplicate attacks that are either lazy, or the game doesn't register them as the special attacks properly.
In balance though, I will say something positive. When the posture system works, it's pretty nice to out skill the enemy. Both the madame Butterfly and Gyobu fights it works in two different ways. With MB, she attacks so fast you can block if you are good enough and deathblow her on about 1/3 - 1/2 health. With Gyobu, the neat trick of grappling hook and the fact he goes easy on the posture regain, means you can do similar. It's just a shame thanks to dragonrot, wonky collision detection and the broken lock-on, that the fights are still a bit too annoying to truly study like you can in any of the other games.
