Shola Shoretire

Delighted for him! Him and Amad getting debuts within the same week. Hope the future is bright for him!

Just need Hannibal and Hugill to keep doing what they are doing.

Edit! Congratulations @chattichattichatta

Too old, shift him on.

Seriously, good to see him get a chance, been playing well for the u23s

Having only now found out he's a Geordie, the big question is is he named after Newcastle legend Shola Ameobi?

Ole knows how to spin it with an awful game , especially in the first half. However great for Shola to get his debut, hope that gives him that extra bit of motivation to keep working hard and get into the first team on regular basis in the next few season..

Good reward for the lads recent form. Don't think he's ready for much senior football just yet but it'll tell him if he works hard it'll get recognised.

Congrats to the kid and his family. Debut at OT at the age of 17, stuff of dreams!

Great to see him getting his 1st team debut.

Hopefully starts on Thursday night alongside Amad and a few other of our other youngsters.

Very happy for him. Nice touch by Ole...one for the future hopefully and gives the U23s evem more inspiration.

He's obviously regarded extremely highly within the club considering the immediate promotion to first team training and now a subs appearance after signing the contract, perhaps even held back a bit just to wait until it was official so as not to put him on display? whatever the case it's always great to see academy lads break through so hopefully this isn't the last time we see him this season, congrats.

Replacing an academy player in Rashford was clearly a very deliberate choice. Nice touch.

Sho - re - ti - re

Both instances of re and the one instance of ti are pronounced like the musical notes re and ti basically. Weirdly enough, if you know your music, the tonality is actually weirdly as per those notes!

Congrats @chattichattichatta, huge day for Shola and your family. Tell him Redcafe are delighted to see one of our own come through like that.
