Think this was when Martinez's leg was cramping up so Bruno communicated this to Amorim which led to him filling in at CB whilst Martinez was one of our furthest men forward.

I think that he is a very good captain and excellent leader. People who question that are talking nonsense.

Wouldn’t change him now. But wonder what he was at for last two years when you see what he can do. Don’t like the diving and whining - would have more impact challenging bad decisions if he didn’t look like a two year old throwing a tantrum. That matters because we need a captain that can effectively challenge bad decisions without just annoying everyone.
I think he’s improved recently. Not a major issue that needs replacing like he was before, by the time we are serious title contenders , ideally, 2 to 3 years time he’ll already be at an age where dropping him won’t be an issue and he’ll be a good squad player and invaluable personality in the changing room.
I've never really trusted him as a captain, but this is a pretty good interview, reflects well on Amorims impact and the response it's got from Bruno.

Ah come on, it is a joke. It is an odd thing to praise for me. This is where some roles are just very thankless, you obviously expect your captain to do something in those situations, so every captain will do it. Thats why I think, it is a bit odd to single out something like that. Thankless because a player doesn't get credit when he does it but would be criticised if he doesn't do it. We aren't praising our on field medical stuff for being prepared to give medical support as wonderful people always prepared to help people in need. It is their job isn't it? Also those scenes only become meaningful, when the result is good, I guess Arsenals players were also in a circle with Arteta and Odegard talking stuff. But there are no tweets about it.
And just for the record, the idea to take the captaincy away was obviously misguided. Would have only added negative headlines while adding no benefit on any level. For my personal liking Bruno is still too impulsive but when he manages to keep that in check, then he is probably one of the most suitable players we have for the role - contributor, always available, experienced and good workrate. He is certainly doing a good job in total.

Bruno's been the best captain we have had since Neville retired. I don't mean to do Rooney and Vidic a disservice but with the squads they were captain of I don't think they had much work to do in the way Bruno does.
A couple of weeks ago, some fans called him the worst captain we ever had, just because some bad performances. And he was the sole reason why Amorim's system cannot flourish...

This may sound silly, But I would bring Kamason in at Right Wing Back and make him captain. Young but good enough. Let's look to the future. For the rest of the season I would like to see

30 years supporting this club, never seen a player who bleed reds on and off the pitch taking so much flak from his own club's fan. We really dont deserve him.
I agree with your post, but on the bolded part - matchgoing United fans have always shown their love to Bruno. Unless he's been reading the caf these past couple of years, then I think he knows how much he's appreciated.
It's honestly gross. I don't know if it's a reflection of frustrations following our rather impressive post-Fergie demise, but Bruno is the last player who should be receiving such negativity. Our best post-Fergie player by an absolute mile, always available, always runs his heart out, always plays wherever the manager asks him to. For some reason, that really pisses a lot of people off.

It’s the same with Bruno. And the fact that people think the armband really changes anything, people always used to talk like Ronaldo, Varane, Bruno and the other leaders we had in the team weren’t allowed to speak because Maguire had the armband - if anything the armband is an image thing and captain in general (not downplaying the honour) just makes players carry out obligations but if you’re a leader you will be a leader and will have your voice heard regardless armband or no armband

I think more Maguire seemed to regress with the armband. Playing for United brings pressure, Maguire since Greece has been under ridiculous amounts of abuse, in my opinion that combination was too much for him. He's also not that outgoing (based off what I can see looking in at least) and could definitely be more vocal, more aggressive, more active in pressuring refs (sadly a big part of the modern game).
Bruno is like the weeds on my patio, he will never be cowed. Every year I douse them in weed killer, put fresh sand in the joints, every year they give me the middle finger. That essentially is what you need in a captain for this club, someone who would willingly take the pelters being captain of United brings and use it as fuel.
He's the best captain we've had since Vidic.
