He wasn't sent off or even booked, therefore you demonstrably can put your hands to someone's neck.Nobody has argued he shouldn’t have been that I’ve seen, to be fair

Take a look at post #256There's literally photo and video evidence showing his hands around the lads neck. He's obviously not strangling him but the position of his hands are there for all to see. But when we live in a world where some still argue the earth is flat, I guess its no surprise than everything will be debated regardless of evidence
If you grab somebody wearing a shirt by the throat then their collar will obviously be under their hands. It’s how clothes work. And I could also show you a still of him grabbing his collar from a different angle
I would argue he certainly didn't use excessive force or brutality, thus probably deserved the sending off for being a dummy, but should only receive either a one or two match ban.Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.
They said grab, not put your hand to, to be fair.He wasn't sent off or even booked, therefore you demonstrably can put your hands to someone's neck.
It’s not even 10 seconds in slow moWhat? He’s quite clearly grabbing him by the collar not the throat. And where the heck have you got 10 seconds from?
What? perhaps if they are wearing a turtle neck. It seems you don’t understand how clothes work after all.If you grab somebody wearing a shirt by the throat then their collar will obviously be under their hands. It’s how clothes work.

His collar was already around his neck before it started, because that’s where a collar goes. What? perhaps if they are wearing a turtle neck. It seems you don’t understand how clothes work after all.
You see his hands move down to the shoulders while still holding the shirt. If you grab somebody wearing a shirt by the throat then their collar will obviously be under their hands. It’s how clothes work.
Absolutely useless to go after the gentleman, even if said gentleman banters you.He didn’t initiate anything
Not fluent in that, unfortunately. Suggestions? To what tune?
Exactly thisNo. He was holding his collar of his shirt the whole time. The moment and angle the VAR showed the ref made it look like Casemiro was choking him. If you're making ref go and look at it, feckin show him the whole thing.
The rules don't say that though.I am no referee, but if the rules say that if you have both hands on someone's neck it's violent conduct then it's a red and that's that.

Thanks mate.
I agree with Ten Hag, yeah.Do people still think that’s a red card and violent conduct?!
You’d consider an appeal then. Good to know you got our back bro!I agree with Ten Hag, yeah.
I wouldn’t argue against it being a red but it defintely wasn’t hands on neck choke that I keep seeing people say it was.Tweet

I thought that because the commentator said that. Maybe it's wrong information. The rules don't say that though.
It's asking for trouble sure, but there isn't a specific law on touching an opponent's neck with your hands I'm sure.I thought that because the commentator said that. Maybe it's wrong information.

Imo ETH doesn't agree with that decision.I agree with Ten Hag, yeah.
