Solskjær sack watch | 2019/20 edition

Hey, at least it's not toxic around the club anymore and he's not throwing the players under the bus.

In the last few days we've seen Tottenham Arsenal and Watford all sack their managers for not being good enough.

Silva at Everton will also surely be sacked in the next few days.

Ole has been as bad as all of those managers.

I was very much neutral in this debate about getting Ole fired. At this point, we have to get rid of him.

The only thing is that this might bring uncertainty. If Poch isn't available till the end of the season? So be it. Get another caretaker with poch quietly conformed.

Ole isn’t the man for us. This clear to the naked. Unless you’re trippin’ on some cool aid.

Everything just feels and sounds right about Poch managing Manchester United. It fits.

Moyes was never United material. Nothing ever said, other than a Scot and being of similar age to Fergie when he took over, that he was the right fit. LVG was a fanciful choice and one who you always felt his best days had passed. Mourinho was the ‘we have to give him a go’ choice but it soon became clear his heart wasn’t really in it.

Solskjaer landed the permanent job in ridiculous circumstances. It was as clear as day that he was keeping the seat warm for Pochettino but a freakish run of results gets him the job.

If we do appoint Pochettino you sense it would be the first proper appointment since Fergie left. We will live to regret this massively if we lose out on him.

I'd give Ole the full season to accommodate Poch in summer. The club especially Woodward should be doing everything possible for his signature. Any fan who would take Solskjaer over Mauricio is utterly deluded.

We can not be sure Poch won't be appointed by another club until summer. PSG, Bayern maybe even Juve might approach him and if they do before us, all of them are better options than us.

The manager and the players gets what working for man United is all about

Any club in the top four divisions of English football would find this type of form worrying and would seriously consider their options.

Yet we’re one of the biggest clubs in the world and there’s a sizeable portion of the fan base that are completely fine with this. Just because one guy had a rocky period once before dominating football doesn’t mean EVERY guy does it. That one guy just happened to be one of the GOATs of football management and had already pulled off some pretty epic things before he even set foot in Old Trafford.

Are fans literally taking Sir Alexs “Your job is to stand by the manager“ speech as absolute gospel? Especially now we have a Sir Alex disciple as manager? Are fans just trying to score top red points because during the time of having a godlike manager everyone else was sacking managers left and right, and therefore we are more special than them because we stuck with him, but he was a godlike manager anyway?

Its insane to me. Is some Manchester United deity in the sky going to smite them for daring to say a manager who was an ex player isn’t good?

If only there were existing Ole threads to post in.

What we need is to bring in another manager so that he can turn Fred and Andreas into Scholes and Carrick, and Luke Shaw into Ole. That'll do the trick.

I mean, that is essentially the purpose of a manager. So, yeah!

The alternative is just not bothering to have one at all because, eh what’s the point? Let the fans pick the team via Twitter poll and chalk every loss up to them.

Woodward has done it again. Only this time he's made a real mess of it and has to sack a club legend.

Woodward for Strange ways.

He needs another 3 years (lingard's years not the normal years)

Brendan Rogers has just said (in a round about way) that he has a clause in his contract that allows him to speak to a "big" club.
Let's fecking get him.

I dislike Rodgers persona, but he did well with Swansea, he would have the PL league once if Gerrard hadn't slipped. I think he did alright in the scottish league. He's now performing very well with Leicester. Certainly has more pedigree than Ole. I'd prefer Poch, but he's coming off his worst season ever. I'm tired of us hiring managers not coming of a succesfull season.

Shameless Showbiz Brendan™

Ole isn’t the man for us. This clear to the naked. Unless you’re trippin’ on some: poor visual, deluded fanbase, comfortable in mediocrity, mid-table for life, zero footballing knowledge, content with useless leadership aid .

Sorry for my intrusion

“Ole, what style of football are you even trying to implement here?”

Ole’s first real test

Sack him off. Legend of a player, complete and utter fraud of a manager.

Any self-respecting big club would be in a meeting room with Ole right now, telling him that he has permission to respectfully resign, and possibly receive a gentlemanly payoff (albeit not a huge one), to walk away with dignity. If he isnt willing to do that, out of love for a big payday the club , then he will be fired promptly on the spot and the story presented first thing in the morning.

Ole, stop tarnishing your legacy and managerial reputation and please walk with dignity. You will be thanked for 'giving it a go' and we'll all wish you well wherever you get employed.

14 games in and only 4 wins is a disgrace for a club of our stature. Mix in Oles record after being appointented permanent manager last season you get worse stats - poch is free agent, go get him.

So what we need is a manager with magical powers? Why didn't I think of that?

I don't think Ole is 'the answer' long term, but how many more times do you need for us to declare a manager shit before you realise the issues go beyond them? We've got Andreas and Fred as our midfield two for christ sake. We've got a fullback with a handful of games being first choice, we expect a 22 year old to to be the experienced player we turn to, and when we need options from the bench we have to bring on Lingard, a barely fit defensive LB and an 18 year old to try and change the course of the game. The team is not good enough to be where some delusional fans think we should be at. Accept it.

So we should just shrug our shoulders and accept 4 league wins all season? 6 league wins out of the last 23 games?

Nobody is saying we should be up there challenging Liverpool for the title.

We certainly shouldn't be fecking 9th in December and getting outplayed for large sections of the game by the likes of Sheffield Utd and Aston Villa.

He is seemingly out of his depth here, but if he goes, Woodward should go with him
100 percent. Ole is utterly out of his depth, but so is the asshole who appointed him and he shouldn't be able to get away with it.

You’ve some kneck calling others delusional and to accept it, when you genuinely believe that we’re not good enough to beat Villa at home, Newcastle, Palace, Sheffield United, West Ham.

How many wins are we going to end the season with, with this rate ? 4 out of 14, I bet it won't be anything more than 14 or 15 wins.

It's the managers that builds the squad though.

Whose decision it was to splash 80M on slab-head when we had more pressing areas as you say? Also allowing to leave Lukaku and Sanchez without accepting any replacements? Poor decision-making during the summer has basically cost him, if he can't even anticipate such obvious things he shouldn't be anywhere near the managerial role.

Solskjær: "It is a young team, but it can't be an excuse because we're #mufc. These boys will learn. We just have to string two or four games together because we haven't had that consistency. As soon as we get that we'll see them grow." #mulive [bein]

Otherwise known as tactical acumen, progressive coaching, good motivational skills, or a plethora of other assets that separate genuinely good managers from “some guy who gets paid a lot to pick the team”
