I could see Giggs going with an all out 442 for this game, with the debut from Wilson i'd like to see him given a game up front with an experienced striker like RVP. Persie is great at dropping off and linking play which would allow James to do his thing in the box.

I could expect Giggs to have at least the first 60-70 mins of this given that it's possible that it could be his last playing season. Rio and Vidic are a given at CB and i'd expect Evra to return to the fold aswell.

Januzaj was quality last night and i'd like to see him start again with maybe Nani on the opposite flank. If rumours are true that Van Gaal favours him it'd be good for him to get minutes since he had a long absence and then hit the ground running in pre season.

I'd like Kagawa, Lawrence, Keane and Chicha on the bench and 3 of them to get some game time later on. Lawrence and Keane especially.

Wilson has the final with the 21's during the week, doubt any of them will be invovled.

I think he'll continue to mix it up... think Mata and Welbeck will come back in, and RVP will get a start.

Don't think he will start Kagawa our Januzaj for this one, Januzaj might come on as a sub.

Is Rooney back? Any news? He always needs game time after breaks. Do England have friendlies before the WC? Otherwise I can see Giggsy starting him to give him game time.

Pretty much this but I would go with Carrick for Fletcher. Vidic said his farewells last night so don't think we'll see him in a United shirt again.

If Rooney's back i can see Mata playing wide with RvP up top.

Rooney to come around the 65th minute mark for van Persie.

Giggs said Januzaj's leg looked bad, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Valencia over Adnan. I know Southampton is a tough fixture but I would give Varela a start here unless Rafael is fully fit. Might aswell hand out another debut!

3-0 (Welbeck, RVP, Giggs (came on from the bench))

I actually prefer Smalling or Evans than Rio but since there might be a chance that it will be his last game then let's play him.
I actually prefer Kagawa, but obviously since Kagawa played against Hull so Mata will get his chance this time.
I prefer Wilson, but since RVP hasn't start a game with us since he came back then let's start him.

I want to see Adnan again and it would be nice for Giggs to give himself another runout. Not really arsed about the rest.

Two things need to happen. Vidic needs to play so he can reach 300 appearances for the club and Giggs need to play the full game so he can score in case there is a penalty.

Slightly off topic but would anyone know a stream/website, where I can watch the full Hull match? Missed it yesterday due to training.

How can anyone seriously want Nani in after complete non-performances in his last two games? Got to be Januzaj and Welbeck in the wide spots, for me.

I don't fancy this.
Yea..the fear is the result will be a reflection of our dismal season. I think we'll win it though. Both sets of players won't care too much and it will be an open game. 2-3 to us

if Villa beat Spurs and we win...we qualify for the much sort after Europa Cup right?
It's the only major trophy we could be eligible for that we haven't won isn't it?

For that reason, I wouldn't mind it. I don't think the squad will get the trimming it needs so you need some players who are available on Thursdays. We play on Sunday a lot anyway so that part isn't too concerning.

Is Januzaj even able to play after that stamp?
Well he played on for what was left of the match with no problems, and no-one's mentioned anything about an actual injury, despite Giggs mentioning marks on the lad's leg. So he's probably fine.

If this was the team I would expect us to lose about 3-0.

Johnstone's loan lasts until the 31st,

I think resting players who are going to the World Cup for sure is a good idea to give them an extra break. With the exception of Evra if he's leaving us (which I would expect he probably isn't as he didn't play against Hull).

Varela Ferdinand Keane Buttner
Cleverley Giggs
Young Januzaj Lawrence

There's still a few experienced heads in there, so it'd be a nice team to see. Perhaps players like Evans, van Persie and Fletcher could come off the bench for a run out as they haven't played as much as our other first teamers this season. Can't say I expect much from this game and I'd rather Giggsy treated it like the Hull game.

Edit: Maybe Lindegaard should be given a game as well really, or Amos.
