"Strong" start to season has fooled us

War doesn't decide who is right, only who is left.
Before United met Arsenal we had played and won against these teams:

Fulham (#8), Charlton(#18), Watford(#19), Tottenham(#16), and a CL match against Celtic on Old Trafford where poor defense almost got the better of us. And even though we won against Tottenham it for sure was no match we ruled in.

If you look at the teams we have won against so far; is it very impressive? Are the teams something to measure against? Ofcourse not. It's piss-poor resistance. And it has led us into thinking our team is better than it really is.

Now Arsenal (#10) isn't really any good either. But us on Old Trafford was poor enough to make them seem so.

Always the summer's slipping away
Relatively, it was a strong start. Even after dropping points we aren't behind Chelsea or any of the other title contenders who have played as many tricky opponents as United have, except maybe Arsenal.

Have Chelsea been very impressive so far? They've been shit in every single game. Liverpool could have won it at the end. They were rubbish against Boro who they lost to. Arsenal won just one game, and apart from us faced average teams.

The start has fooled noone. Its still a good start as we're level with Chelsea and ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool, and we've played some fantastic football.

feck off. 5 wins out of 6. Its still a good start. Doom-merchant feckers sure come out of the woodwork the minute things change, don't they.

Bollocks. As much as the performance against Arsenal was poor to say the least we still had a fair few chances, and it has been a strong start to the season. You can only beat the team in the front of you and that's what we've been doing. Chelsea were the same last year, and we're winning tricky games that we probably would've drawn last season. Let's be positive for feck sake.

In previous seasons we've dropped points against teams like that, so yes, it is a strong start.

Arsenal have failed to beat Villa, City and Middlesborough, Liverpool drew with Sheffield United, Chelsea lost at Middlesborough. These sides are no better than those we have faced and yet we have as many points as any of the so called big four. Chill Winston.
