I just hope we do our jobs and at least make it so their first PL win is by goal difference only.

It's like a cup game so it's not exactly a foregone conclusion or anything. .

Brown OG 1, 9, 11, 16, 22, 38, 45
O'Shea OG 48, 54, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90

Now you're being ridiculous.

You seriously think that no-one in our side would score?

Lineup (according to Sunderland official twitter):

De Gea, Jones, Evra (C), Ferdinand, Evans, Valencia, Young, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Rooney.

Evans  Curveball from Fergie.

Giggs and Scholes together... yeah, that worked fine last time as well.

Though this is a meaningless game anyway.

3 strikers on the bench? I'd have preferred us trying Young off Rooney and Nani wide rather than Giggs playing.

De Gea, Jones, Evra (C), Ferdinand, Evans, Valencia, Young, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Rooney.

Subs: Owen, Berbatov, Park, Chicharito, Nani, Rafael, Amos.

SAF: " Evans is out for season, but Welbeck will be ready for Sunderland".

Nani droped once again, ffs Fergie.

Yeah I dunno why we couldn't have tried clev or nani in the middle over Giggs, if we're gonna be banking on clev in the future/ know Nani is one of our key players it'd be good to see how they all do in a tough game where we have to win.

It's possible Nani has a knock...it's not always a straight forward selection. We have to trust the team that's put out. An early goal is very much welcome

If there's one thing I've learned from Utd it's it ain't over till it's feckin over. Us to snatch an injury time winner and them to concede an injury time equaliser :-!

Disagree. We need to win this. If only to piss on City's thunder that they only won it by goal difference despite our injuries and lack of midfield reinforcement. And despite them spending close to a billion quid.

Hopefully it's a send off game for Giggs.
