Martial wont be available all the time and his minutes will have to be managed...but no squad is perfect and its just something ETH will have to work with.

His CF options are Martial, Ronaldo, Rashford. His target is Top 4 and a cup. Many managers in the league have to do with far less so lets stop talking down the players for a change.

This season reminds me of Ole first full season were Martial was injured at the start, Rashford looked like dross, Martial returned led to Rashford playing his best football and the entire team picking up.
You see we played someone football in the short period he featured this season. He'll be crucial!!

Rashford shouldn't really have to be a CF option in emergencies though... otherwise he should just be a LW option and that's it.

I get what you're saying though of course, and most clubs do only have two actual striker options (Arsenal - Jesus/Nketiah, City - Haaland/Alvarez, Liverpool - Nunez/Firminho etc.) ... issue is though it relies on one of those strikers not being perennially injured, and the other not being a 37 year old who doesn't like moving.

Guess we just need to see more Garnacho

Why is everyone upset about Martial? If he didn’t play Saturday he won’t play tomorrow. He has an achilles injury and could be out for a while. It’s annoying but no need to react with exasperation, we knew he was unavailable.

Be interesting to to see if ETH decides to go with Rashford or Ronaldo up top tomorrow.

Martial had a bruised achilles so why are people riled up he’s not available? It’s been less than a week!
People love moaning. Nothing has changed as it pertains to his injury from what we were told before the Southampton game. He had a knock on his Achille and was always unlikely to recover in only a few days. Yet somehow some people couldn't figure that out and are having a needless moan.

Heck some think it's a different injury from the one he's been recovering for only a few days.

Shame Cavani has gone. Would have been good under ETH.
Sure, between vacation in Uruguay, NT games where he is unavailable first game after them and injuries, he would be great under ETH. :wenger:

Prime Cavani though, would be perfect

Whose job would it be to push Cavani's wheelchair around the pitch?
Cavani gave it everything in his first season. Then lost the number 7 shirt to Ronaldo and that was it for him. If we could loan a younger player like him for this season it would be great.

Because this will be our fifth league match of the season and he hasn’t been fit to start any of them.
But we already knew he wouldn’t be fit for this. People are reacting like they’ve only just found out. Yeah it’s annoying, but we knew.

Haven't watched him play since he left us, except for the Euros. Has he developed a lot in those years? I've seen a few posters suggest this.
He’s developed into a more central role and has done well. He would be more suited to play the no. 9 role under ten Hag m’s system and is more likely to avoid injury than Martial.€10 million fee with a 2 plus deal makes a lot of sense.
