Losing to Comeback Winning!
I don't know but is it just me or doing those eg. preparing the shirts or the other stuffs the City players did, before actually winning it show lack of class. I don't remember anything like this during SAF's reign.

He thinks of himself what I don't see in him. Good player, but was and would not elevate our game any higher. If he could shoot properly, I take on him would have been different.

I think you forget that these a mostly men in their early 20s in a locker room environment and too much time on their hands.

I perosnally don't see anything wrong with it. If you loose though, you look like prats.

Can't fault him for leaving, as we said at the time, the club waited ages to extend his contract and by that point he didn't feel wanted. Same with anyone in any job who gets offers elsewhere.

No matter what anyone says this is the truth. He knows exactly what to say to get our fans to buy into his narrative, despite being largely unmissed since leaving United and unimpressive when here.

Can remember being so pumped after his pre match press conference against Wolfsburg under Louis Van Gaal, thinking with his infectious mentality we are going to win and qualify for the knockouts easily.

...Only to find out he wasn’t in the squad, to watch Nick Powell come on for Mata and for us to be humiliated out of the Champions league.

May have confused this with another presser.

Its what you want the truth to be.

He knows what to say just like Mourinho knew what to say, and LVG and Ole.

We've done fine without him because we spent £125 million on defensive players + the £50 million on Fred before that as his eventual replacement.

If you spend £175 million on defensive players I'm not sure you'd miss any midfielder who specialises in pressing and winning the ball. Its not like Casemiro, Kante or Henderson are worth £175 million.

If we spent £175 million on attacking players we wouldnt miss one of our attacking players either.

He is an intelligent guy, or do you want our players to be dumb? :nervous:

He is a proper football guy, he obviously knows what he is doing and saying. I also don't think everything he says is a narrative. Some is, and some isn't. He genuinely was happy to be here and would have stayed longer if valued more before Ole. He was passionate here on and off the pitch, you can't fake it for 5 years if he didn't give a shit.

Some rate him and some don't, you are obviously in the later camp.

Really not sure what the form/ability of an ex player has to do with any article where the ex player discusses good detail/insights about the club and the overwhelming tone is positive?

Sanchez in training - goals, goals, goals
Bobby Firmino in training - no goal, no goal, no goal
Mancini in training - was goal, was goal, was goal

I don't believe it's always goals goals goals with Sanchez in training. Probably played five a side with Phil Jones as the GK in training.

Can't understand why some fans evidently don't like Ander. Not a great player but easily one of our best buys in the post SAF and pre-Ole era. Like Daily Blind, i'll always remember him as a great professional and a good player who put in some cracking performances in big games for us.

With you on this. My two most favourite players post-SAF. Ander and Daley.

Top notch professionals and characters. I wish noone left especially Daley, great football brain, as most dutch players.

Even though I liked Mourinho I blame him for these two leaving

I dont like the overrating of Ander, and the revisionist history that he was some sort of Keane/Scholes hybrid when he was here. Nobody put Blind up on a pedestal, and he is remembered normally like any good professional who played for us.

Revisionist is Martial being the most hardworking player at the club

Or Pogba actually being a consistent star at United

Sorry but I feel like Ander is a far better politician than people give him credit for. Its one thing to demand respect, but he held the club ransom in the last 6 months. The club called his bluff and he's now stuck as a bench warmer at a club rather than being a potential great at United.

We spent a shit load of money moving forward without him, far more than even if the story that he asked for 200k a week was true. And that would be ignoring the other story that we offered him a paycut instead of more money than his original deal when he signed for us.

He was on the bench a lot for us as well but he's had more injuries this season than he tended to have with us

He will always be remembered as a better player than he was because of his great statements, I got nothing but respect for him always gave his 100% when playing for us, never a complain.
