Have Swansea bought someone this summer? They have been very quiet. It doesn't seem they want to get promoted.

Only Celina, Asoro & McKay. Dunno about Celina but Asoro is decent, not sure how much impact he'll have straight away though. McKay is decent when he's on form but that wasn't very often at Forest. Interesting to see how Potter does there though. They must be skint or something because they've lost Mawson, Fabianski, Mesa, Bartley, A. Ayew & Ki without bringing in much in return.

I don't get how Swansea would be skint. Parachute payments, good few years of benefitting off TV money in the prem, always had low transfer spending??? Not sure if there is something going on behind the scenes but they definitely shouldn't be having financial troubles. Weird because they were always heralded as a well run club when they were in the Prem, not sure what changed.

Yeah was thinking the same but their ins and outs don't look like great viewing so dunno what it could be. They're losing Clucas to Burnley too and apparently J. Ayew could also be off.

@SquishyMcSquish You're right, behind the scenes stuff apparently.
That sucks. Never nice to see really, Swansea were an admirable team in the Prem who tried to play decent football without spending much, even won a cup. Just stopped replacing the quality they had in the squad and inevitably that led to relegation. Seems like the 'behind the scenes' stuff as you say has messed them up, as on paper you would expect them to have pretty strong finances. Especially since they've also earned a decent amount from transfers (Gylfi for 50m!) in the past.

Always thought this was the most competitive league in the world probably. From season to season, you literally cannot tell whether a team will be promoted or relegated in August.

Anyway, Josh Harrop and Ben Pearson both starting in midfield for Preston today. Both showed great promise at times with us. Harrop in particular is very gifted I think, and will find his way to the PL at some stage.

Middlesbrough 2-0 down against Milwall. The Lions begin from where they left last season. Bristol, Brentford, Blackburn and Wigan up as well. WBA, Birmingham and Preston draw, instead.
