Thought she deserved a thread given the breathtaking work she's done in the last few years. Probably the most talented rising Democratic star, despite the loss in 2018.

So what path do people see for her? She's said she won't run for presidency before 2028, but is that too soon? She's a huge galvaniser and organiser of support, and the GOP are pretty damned scared of her. Also super smart. But she's black, and a woman.

Would the US elect her? And in the immediate future, what should she do? Attorney General? Keep working on the grassroots? What's the next move.

DNC chair, governor in 2022, Senate in 2026.

Making GA a lean blue state will be of paramount importance when the Midwest is irreversibly trending red.

She could just be the chair of the DNC and work her magic nationwide.

I think this is an obvious pick for the party, but also pretty sure she "deserves better" if that even makes sense. Though it's a decent short term role if she'll run for governor in 2022.

The GOP ground game was obviously light years ahead of the DNC nationwide this year, who probably got complacent.

I doubt she is near the top of the list for AG, but she has a future somewhere. As does her fellow Georgian Bottoms.

A lot of people are citing her refusal to concede when she ran for Governor of Georgia after losing by 50,000 votes and crying out that foul play was afoot as setting a precedent for Trump to do the same with the White House.

Her opponent at the time was GA Secretary of State, who oversaw the whole election and did every voter suppression tricks in the book.

Trump is the president, had the whole of federal judiciary and law enforcement behind him, a Republican Senate, and all 4 of the states being disputed have Republican state legislature (and in GA case, Repub everything, Gov/Lt.Gov/Sec State).

Yah well she at least had a valid point, Trump does not.

DNC chair especially with Perez rumored to be interested for a cabinet position. Her work on Georgia was awesome, and we need her to bring that to the entire nation.

Attorney General should go to Doug Jones.

She is peak ‘when a loss actually is a win.’

No way she would have had the positive effect she did in 2020 if she won the governorship in 2018.

It would have to be the Electoral College itself rigging the election en masse for Biden to make the two scenarios even somewhat similar. The person who ran the fecking election in Georgia was the one who won the governorship.

Governor of Georgia would be the next ticket for her to punch. Kemp’s term ends in two years and with the political capital she’s gained since losing, she should be able to win the next one.
