The Caf's Roy Keane.
Can't believe nobody has mentioned this beautiful human being.

I don't quite understand this logic as I would assume EPL fans would like the best managers ply their trade in the league. Alonso shows a lot of potential to be a great tactician as a coach. More competition the better for the league. There are many great coaches out there if Utd is not happy with ETH and decide to move on anyway.Alonso would be a long-term disaster for us.
A bit overexaggerated by me, but some had that expectation of his managing career before he even started it: https://en.as.com/en/2018/12/24/soccer/1545662355_072679.htmlHe was supposed to be the next big manager, when he was still playing? I must have missed that.
I’d want someone with more experience, if I was a Liverpool fan. That’s all I’m saying.
Nagelsmann will be available no matter how the Euros go, he has a contract only for that tournament and it looks like he wants to go back to club football after that. That he took over Germany just is a special situation and not intented to be a long term solution.Nagelsmann maybe, if Germany crashes out of the Euros early.
Well in that case I reckon they'd be in for Nagelsmann.A bit overexaggerated by me, but some had that expectation of his managing career before he even started it: https://en.as.com/en/2018/12/24/soccer/1545662355_072679.html

Yes Alonso had a s clause in his contract that Leverkusen will let him leave if one of his former clubs (Liverpool, Madrid, Bayern) comes knocking.I read something earlier that said Alonso's new deal has a release clause for Liverpool and Madrid
But surely that's BS
I can't see FSG paying a lot to break a manager out of a contract
Potter in..?
I really really hope so.Well in that case I reckon they'd be in for Nagelsmann.
No he won’t.ten Hag will be looking for a job.
Sabbatical?No he won’t.
Nope, leading us to glory.Sabbatical?
It's says a lot about the lack of good managers available.I’m a little surprised that Liverpool fans seem to be clamoring so much for Alonso. It’s an impressive season he in the middle of, to be sure, but he still only has 1,5 years of management experience in the top flight. If he wasn’t ex-Liverpool, would he be considered this much?
You forgot KermitBig Sam
Jose Mourinho
Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Ralf Rangnick
Troy Deeney
Frank Lampard
Stevie Me
Who would you choose?
According to Carro, there are no clauses like this in his contract but they've agreed on verbal terms that they'll let him leave if wants to.Yes Alonso had a s clause in his contract that Leverkusen will let him leave if one of his former clubs (Liverpool, Madrid, Bayern) comes knocking.
I look forward to Bellingham pulling a reverse-Trent and getting Real Madrid to sign him.TAA, Salah and VVD only have 18 months on their Contracts.
New manager will have to convince all 3 to renew and stay. That’ll be a nice first task.
Or as our financial gurus will label the file: "Coutinho MkII smilieface smilieface"I look forward to Bellingham pulling a reverse-Trent and getting Real Madrid to sign him.
42, not 18 league games. He took over relatively early last season, at that point Leverkusen was in danger to join the relegation battle, instead he stabilised the team and reached EL qualification. What happens this season is build on the foundation he built last season under very different circumstances.Alonso is 18 league games in to top flight managerial life at 42 after managing Real Sociedad B.
No he's not, he had the majority of last season as well and took them from near the relegation zone to Europe as well as being unlucky to go out of the Europa knockout Semi-final against Roma 1-0 (had 23 shots to 1 in the 0-0 return leg)Alonso is 18 league games in to top flight managerial life at 42 after managing Real Sociedad B. Be my guest and recruit him, please. I don’t care how good a tactician he looks like after such a tiny sample. Tears inbound.
Of course. And so, the net spend trophy will stay on merseyside for a while longer.Or as our financial gurus will label the file: "Coutinho MkII smilieface smilieface"
Nah, should be Stoke City and his debut should be on a cold rainy nightAlonso needs to prove himself by leaving Leverkusen and taking a job with Burnley or Everton. If he can get them to win the league, then maybe he deserves a shot at the Liverpool job.
Why does this have to be the blue print? We see so many taking this blue print and it fizzling out rather disappointinglyAlonso needs to prove himself by leaving Leverkusen and taking a job with Burnley or Everton. Cheated at every level of his career, other than Bayern, which is basically cheating. Why does this have to be the blue print? We see so many taking this blue print and it fizzling out rather disappointingly
What was Pep’s pathway into management? Barca B and then straight into Barca, the rest is history
granted Pep is of genius levels, but there’s no reason why a new manager like Alonso has too take the typically go too a crappy club first route
He was even involved in controversy while at BayernCheated at every level of his career, other than Bayern, which is basically cheating.
Pep isnt a genius that why he only joins teams that are already at the top domestically and have huge transfer budgets, Pep inherited a side that had just reached the UCL Semi's and was given a virtually unlimited transfer budget so if he was such a genius it would not have taken him as long as it did to win the UCL.granted Pep is of genius levels
PED Ljinders is leaving with Klopp, so the amount of asthmatics on the team is about to reduce dramaticallyThe big question is not the next Liverpool manager, but will they kept the same doctors?
