Actually you're +15 per 100 possessions. BPM you're +17.4. Well, for that one season, but it's your only one so far. I assume those stats are total career stats.
I’m more powerful than I could possibly imagine.

You’re inferior to a 3cm 0lbs Hammer from Norway in its debut season.
You go to all the trouble of creating a midget alien who was taken out of stasis 30 years after Roswell and managed to assimilate to human culture exclusively by being surprisingly decent at throwing a ball into a hoop from 24 feet away... and then somebody just comes along and ruins all immersion by making a silly player. :rolleyes:

99/00 Playoffs

Okay, let's play these offs!

Quick reminder of the bracket.

Round 1 results

Upset! The Lakers have only gone and beaten the 2-seed Seattle trio of @The Cat , @weetee and @Solius! That means @Samid is through to the conference semis, though he didn't actually play in the first round. Elsewhere the Vancouver boys @Dr. Dwayne and @Stobzilla were swept by the Warriors. They were probably odds on to lose, but getting swept is a bit harsh. @hobbers is also gone after getting swept by the #1 team in the league, Minnesota. On the other side of the bracket, @BenitoSTARR's Knicks make it through Milwaukee.

Conference Semis results

And just like that, we only have one Cafite still in the playoffs, as Samid's Lakers lost against the Clippers. He still didn't play. BenitoSTARR's Knicks came back from 1-3 down to beat the Nets 4-3!

Conference Finals results

Another comeback! This time New York was down 3-0, and incredibly came back to win 4-3 against Washington. BenitoSTARR is through to the NBA Finals, where he will face off against the only team with a better regular season record than his own.

Finals

We finally have our first Cafite NBA Champion! It's quite surprising that it turned out to be the rookie BenitoSTARR in the end, but he found himself on a very good team, which to be fair he contributed heavily on. Congratulations! Many more to come, I'm sure.

Playoff stats - points/rebounds/assists - per game - bolded means highest average in the playoffs
  • Samid: didn't play
  • hobbers: 13/7/3 (3 steals and 4 blocks)
  • Solius: 16/3/8 (4.8 3P attempts)
  • weetee: 8/2/7 (100% Free-Throw shooting)
  • The Cat: 4/3/1
  • Dr. Dwayne: 12/1/1 (0 turnovers)
  • Stobzilla: 9/12/3 (6 offensive rebounds and 4 fouls)
  • BenitoSTARR: 16/7/8 (6 blocks)

We've only got one Cafite left to draft (@reelworld), unless someone else signs up - at least until you start retiring and if you want to have your "son" join (I am considering increasing the ratings cap for the second generation). I suppose it's quite fitting that the first draft with only one Cafite is the one that commonly (and thus possibly in the game) has been called the worst NBA draft class in history.

Benito is the Brady of this league. Horrifically overrated and carried to titles by his supporting cast. Total joke.

Move over Jordan, move over Kareem, Bill, Magic and Larry. There’s a new kid in town.

Seems like none of my tags worked, I think I messed them up by bolding them? Though I've bolded tags before. Oh well, it'll be a nice surprise for someone. I don't think tags edited in work.

Edit: ah, I had only bolded the names, so it basically tried to go @[b ]Solius[/ b].

It's both. Though everyone else who has been bad has had one point where they suddenly take a leap after 2-3 seasons, so I wouldn't be surprised if you did too. On the other hand, the game might be punishing you for your presumptions.

That sucks.

Hope this won‘t be the third season in a row my stats go down.

Was it @Dr. Dwayne leaving that helped the Knicks win? Subtraction more than any additions

725 seems like the perfect number for builds on par with the top of the league. We can get 80+ potential players which seems as good as all time greats.

If you raise the point cap we'll definitely break the limit of historical greats and we'll see players better than Jordan and Wilt by a margin I'd guess.

Yeah that's true. I'm just feeling for those that start as in their mid 40s in ratings as rookies because their builds just decide that that's what it is, and then they never get much better. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

If I know anything about basketball it’s specialise in some skills more than others. You can be the most balanced 40 player around but then you’re never going to stand out. But hey what do I know I’m just a 3cm 0lbs, NBA winning, 3 point shoot out winning MVP/ future legend of the sport.

Oh and I’m a hammer.

99/00 Season Review and Awards (Part 1)

Awards <- The way Team awards work is that if you're #3 on the Team, then you were 3rd in voting for the corresponding individual ward. So oneniltothearsenal was 5th in MVP voting, and altodevil was 8th (and presumably Solius was 14th, but my MVP list is only top 10), while hobbers was 2nd in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Quite a rookie season from @BenitoSTARR. All-Rookie, Rookie of the Year, 2nd Team All-Defensive, 1st Team All-League and NBA Champion. Also congratulations to @altodevil, @hobbers and @oneniltothearsenal for their second All-Defensive Team in a row, as well as oneniltothearsenal's first appearance in the 1st All-League Team. This is also @Solius first appearance in the end of season awards. The start of something?

Other Achievements

@altodevil: 1st in Rebounds, 1st in Steals, 1st in Blocks
@hobbers: 2nd in Steals, 4th in Blocks
@oneniltothearsenal: 2nd in Rebounds, 4th in Steals, 5th in Blocks, 10th in Points
@BenitoSTARR: 2nd in Blocks
@V.O.: 4th in Assists
@Stobzilla: 5th in Rebounds
@Salt Bailly: 7th in Blocks
@weetee: 9th in Assists

Feet up at home.
Are there still overall ability stats and potential stats?

Would be good to see the regression or improvement.

Ratings (including the potential rating, and I have no idea how that is calculated or what it actually does) are only changed between offseason, or when there's a huge injury (which I don't think any of you have had yet). So I like giving the full picture at the start of the new season in the Season Preview. I could include them in the Review as well I guess, since it would only take room sideways (posts are already getting massive, let me know if you guys prefer spoilers to make them more compact).

Incidentally, I just simulated past the off-season and was taking a look at how you all shaped up when I realized that Dan and Skizzo, who are teammates, are both Point Guards. No wonder they're not both starting.

Can anything be done about the Point Guard situation?

I mean... sure, why not? If you want to change positions, I can edit it. Same goes for anyone. You're your own master, after all. Let's start there, and then after next season I might let you move (not add) a few rating points as well, to simulate... I don't know, working on your game? But for now I'll just allow position changes.

Wtf! Who is my coach? This is blatant gingerism.
It's because your overall rating is very low (40), as a direct result of your very wonky build. But when you actually played you played reasonably well. It's just that the AI puts you way down in the pecking order.

That said, in this game playing time has no impact on development, so you could not play a game for 4 years and suddenly take a leap in overall rating, and then be quite good.

:lol: feck off! It was them being shite and getting top draft picks.
Its just science. It's obviously not because @BenitoSTARR is any good. So maybe you were just disrupting team morale and chemistry being Canadian and all. Benito sucks but he talks like a New Yorker :p

If you gave @altodevil another 100 points, hed actually be able to score and break the game, but maybe that would be fun
