Scanned the top twenty for Nas, saw none, stopped reading. Any list with Illmayic outside the top ten is (imo) a travesty.

The Rolling Stones said:
The result was a list that touches on every important moment in the genre’s evolution
168. Tierra Whack, 'Whack World' (2018)
That'll be the important moment when someone made an 8 minute long album.

The only Drake album worth considering for this list is If You're Reading This It's Too Late.

Cardi B, Donda and Macklemore appearing on that list before Illmatic or Marshall Mathers LP does it for me.

Iggy Azalea being there at all and Macklemore that high are really... 'interesting' choices.

This. To be honest I knew it was going to be bad when I saw Iggy Izelia almost level with “The score”

I'm a big Kanye fan, but Donda that high in the list? I liked that album a lot but even if we focus on his own career, there's a lot of albums that would be above that one.

87. Ultramagnetic MCs, 'Critical Beatdown' (1988)
79. Eric B. & Rakim, 'Follow the Leader' (1988)
40. Dr. Dre - 'The Chronic' (1992)
24. Nas - 'Illmatic' (1994)
15. Eric B. and Rakim - 'Paid in Full' (1987)

There's quite a few more great albums that should be way higher, but these are the most outrageous. I hate these lists. 3 fecking Eminem albums and Rakim's 18th letter is nowhere to be found.

There is no fecking way anything by Kendrick or Missy Elliott should be anywhere near the top 10.
And no fecking way at least something by Nas or Eric B & Rakim shouldn't be in the top 10.

Just stick the The Source's 5 mic albums, at least the ones rated before they sold out.

As much as I like that Cardi B album it belongs nowhere near #16 on a list like this.

There’s way too much wrong with it to start breaking it all down but there always is with these lists, they’re just pointless click gathering exercises.

Love Outkast, but Stankonia isn't even their best work and isn't close to being the 2nd best hip hop album of all time. Wouldn't even make my top 20.

You gonna go through them all and give us a rating and a short review dumbo, or are you gonna be lazy?

Yeah this surprised me. I would've expected Aquemini if anything but even that wouldn't make my top five

Also, though I admit I have been one of those derided for calling 2 Pac a little overrated I am still surprised to see him at 29, below Macklemore and Cardi B.

Its the worst list I've ever seen in my life. There are so many horrendous choices in there. Macklemore? Chief Keef? They have to be joking surely.

Theres no way hip hop fans came up with that. Lauryn Hill is a fantastic rapper but her album had no rap on it so I'm not even sure about that.

Donda belongs on that list as much as insane clown posse albums would.

Every De La Soul fan knows 3 foot high and rising is their worst album.

I can only assume that the people who made that list only listen to rock music and just googled random albums

No Run the Jewels? Get tae feck.
Outrageous one of their albums didn't make the top 100.

Crazy. Way, way too low.

I love those two top albums, so I'm not complaining, but also understand why others maybe deserve certain albums should be higher or taking that top spot. Illmatic at 24 is pissening.

I’ve just noticed how high Pink Friday is too. Almost higher than The Infamous and Aquemini. The list gets funnier the more you look at it actually.

Not sure why folk are fingering tpab when it's fairly placed and there are a zillion issues elsewhere

Not sure it’s truly a hip hop album, but #92 DJ Shadow ‘Endtroducing’ is an absolute masterpiece.
